Room only discounts for Fall?

Just called and got $200 off of our stay at WL!

It was a bit of a pain because for some reason our room was booked as a package (when I first booked, I booked a package, but then added days at AoA to the beginning, so tickets were transferred to that ressie. Guess they didn't bother to switch the WL to room only at that time) but the guy was super nice, got permission to waive the switching fee (we are inside 45 days) and got everything rebooked with the discount. So nice!

Depending on the dates, POFQ often fills up so no discounts are available. So yes, 5% is expected.

I think the Gartner Symposium (an IT convention at the Dolphin) has many rooms blocked for the early part of that week. I've been looking for those dates also and many resorts open up after Wed Oct 24. I think Sept 17 is the last day for full refunds for those people that have booked rooms for the Symposium who need to cancel. So maybe something might open up after Sept 17? Good luck!

I finally got a GV room at the Poly for Wed Oct 24!

We have a FD package for Thu Oct 25-Sun Oct 28; our flight arrives late (7pm) on Wed so we just wanted to do a room-only reservation but there was nothing available.

I checked online this morning and there weren't any discounted GV rooms for Oct 24 but there were rack rate GV rooms available. I went ahead and booked a room just to have it.

I'm going to call Disney this morning to see if 1-I can add Oct 24 to my FD package (and cancel the RO reservation) or 2-If I can't add Oct 24 to my FD package can I link the RO reservation to the FD package reservation.

ETA: I was able to add Wed Oct 24 to our FD Package. WooHoo!

did you go through the special offers section of the website? The discount will not be automatically applied.

Btw, while you're on that page make sure the date you're looking for is included in the discount.

It could be that the rooms for that discount have already been taken. Maybe try a different value resort, but not AoA. The LM rooms are not included.
