Called this morning and told that room only and DVC excluded from 10 day window of reservations - these two groups have to call at the 90 day mark daily for any priority seating reservations just like off-site visitors. I was outraged considering how much money we spend at Disney every year being DVC members and frequent visitors. Not a good selling point for DVC - spend $20,000 down initially and never be able to get CRT reservations for the next 50 years!

To their benefit, maybe they release more times at the 90 day mark - no one could assure me of this, though. I guess I will find out soon enough - 2 days.

Oh, by the way, I had about a 15 minute wait time, calling at 6:59:50 am. ET

I hate to bring this up but I just got off the phone with disney dining and made all my PS for my trip Oct. 14-21. The last one I made is for the night of Thursday Oct. 20. Yes....I am DVC. It was never an issue. The only thing that I could not book was a grand gathering. They told me that I had to book this with MS. :confused3

That's great to hear! I figured that either they'd have it working that way today, or would within a week or so once people started requesting that the benefit be extended to DVC members. It's great that they've had that covered from Day 1.

As I posted over on the DVC board, I also didn't have an issue this morning. DIZZNY seems to have had the bad luck of getting the poorly informed CM AND the poorly informed supervisor.

I am a DVC member also. I was able to make all of my ADR's this morning 10/14-10/21. The CM could not access my reservation, I told him it was a DVC reservation. He said that would explain it, and went on to schedule all of my ADR's without a hitch. :cheer2:

I don't think this is the case. I have a room only reservation and was able to book.

Again, the inconsistency never fails to amaze me. I even spoke with a supervisor!!! I had everything in hand - reservation #, etc. I am very happy that the other people posting are having no problems. I wish all the rest of you luck with your ressie's and hope you do not have a similar experience as mine. I am sorry if I alarmed anyone.

so with your room only ressie, you were able to book ADR's for your entire trip? i think i'm reading your post correctly, but just want to check. we will check-in and have a room only ressie for one night, then we change to a package, and i'm trying to figure out when we can make our ADR's. thanks!

No problem DIZZNY. I came on as soon as I finished because I knew people would want to know if it worked for DVCers or not. Glad to hear you got what you wanted (I thhink you said you had over on the DVC board). And yes, it is infuriating that Disney can't seem to get everyone trained consistantly

I'm going to be a guest of DVC (renting points) and got to make all reservations from 10/15-10/23 (even though I'm only staying at BWV through 10/22) - no problems at all except Fulton's Crabhouse is not one of the restaurants you can make an early ressie to.

I have a room only reservation at ASSP for our first two nights and then moving to our DVC resort (SSR) the last 6 nights. Was able to make all my dining today, got everything I wanted no problem. I was never asked for my reservation #'s but did have to give my full address, phone and dates and she was clearly typing all of that in and looking at me in the system. She must have been satisfied because she let me start booking! If somebody else runs into a CM who is not in the know they should ask to speak to a supervisor or just call back and get a different CM. Very frustrating when you are told the wrong thing!

I am confused about this whole topic :confused3 Can someone explain what the 10 day window of reservations is ? We have been to Disney over 15 times in the past 8 years and I never heard of this. I am also a DVCer. Thanks

It's a new system...started yesterday (7/18). On your 90th day out from the first day of your vacation, when you call, you can book your PS/ADR's for your whole trip (up to 10 days). You still can't make your first PS/ADR before the 90th day out fromt he first day of your trip, but you can make 10 days worth at once-- even thought the 2nd day of your trip will really be 91 days out, the 3rd day 92 days out, etc. And they are supposedly only releasing a % of the seatings so that they aren't all gone before the 90th day for everybody.

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much for the response SnoWhite Rabbitt! I dont like the sound of this at all. We are going the day after Christmas and are splitting our visit with DVC and Dolphin. Wow what a mess this will be for us! :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I also have room only ressies and was able to book for the entire length of my trip. I would call back.

I'm glad to hear about the room only reservations HOWEVER we stay at the S/D frequently with ROOM ONLY reservations. I hope this isn't a problem, after all we are AP holders and I would hope we'd have the same priority as those who book package or have room-only reservations at Disney owned resorts :confused3

I read S/D and SOG were not included. I didn't even try. I did make a 90 one today.

Your Majesty: We are staying at SoG in October and were able to make our reservations. The CM I talked to said tht SoG is included. Maybe you should checl back and see? Good luck! :wizard: :cool1:
