Room number

Hi new to DVC can anyone tell me if we can find out what room we will be assigned before we arrive or are they allocated on arrival? Thanks

They will not give room number before you check in. They appear to be assigned before then but exactly when is not clear.

They will not give you the room number until it is ready for occupancy. So if you check-in and it's not ready, they will not give you the number. You can have them text it to you when it's ready.

You *can* often ask the Cast Member who checks you in for your general location if the room is not ready. When I've done this, they've always been happy to let me know.

Interesting. I've been given the room number plenty of times at check-in when the room wasn't ready yet. Actually, especially since going to MB's for entrance, I don't remember NOT getting my room number at check-in.

They can assign "your room" to someone else if they need it before you get the message that it is ready for you.
