Hi All-

Going for my first trip to SSR and am needing some expert advice :) My cousin and I going for a 3 night stay and I need to know where a good room location to request would be. We want to be close to the bus, and not too far from a pool that serves cocktails! Thanks in advance!

When are you going? The main pool is closed down in March. If further out, you shouldn't have anything to fear.

We are going 4/30. I tried to figure out where we should request by looking at the resort map and got overwhelmed!

The Springs section is the closest to the Carriage House which is the main building.

There are locations in the Grandstand which are very close to Carriage House and the main pool, plus Grandstand is the first stop going/returning from the parks. Many times, by the time the bus gets to the Springs bus stop, it's SRO.

So if I request the Grandstand will I be ok or is there somewhere specific in the Grandstand?? Thanks for everyone's help!

We were in GS for our last stay and we were in the first bldg on the left as you enter the section. (houses 8108-8436) We were in room 8105 which was a ground floor studio. It was awesome for catching the bus as we could see it coming up the road from our slider/window and then walk out (a little fast) and catch it since it had to turn around the circle in the middle which took an extra minute or two. (also as already mentioned it's the first stop so you'll almost always have a seat and you're the first off on the way back).

It's a nice section to stay in and very convenient. We usually like CP (Congress Park) because you can walk to DTD from there but GS is also a short walk away from the main area (where they serve cocktails:thumbsup2 ) and the pool in GS has a snack bar that also serves beverages of the alcoholic variety.;)

It is also a 5 min. walk to the boat dock where you can catch the boat to DTD which is a great place to hang out at night. Lots of restaurants and shops.

Ask for a bldg closer to the GS pool area which is closer to the main pool and boat dock. Check out a map here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/Saratoga.htm GS is the section that's labeled with the "H". The main area is "A". It's closer than it looks on the map too.

We were in the GS in January, right next to the GS pool...which has a cabana bar. It was a great location -- highly recommend it.
