Room location at Coronado?

DW, DS(4) and I are going to WDW the 3 nights prior to our 7-day Eastern cruise in January. We just stayed at PO-FQ at the beginning of October, and loved it there. We are booked there again, but are considering switching to CSR. Or concern with CSR is its size.

When looking at the map, what would be the best location for us if our priorities are as follows (in order):
1. Buses to Theme Parks
2. Proximity to Main Pool
3. Main Building (only planning on going there at check in/out)

From what we can see, Casitas 4 looks like it would be a good location. Does anyone know how far that is from the main pool?

Also, in looking at Buzz2001's Coronado Springs website (thanks Buzz for your info), he states that the bus runs to stops 2-3-4-1 when going to the Theme Parks. Can anyone confirm if this is still the case?

Cabanas 9b was a great building. Really close to the main bus stop, and El Centro. Also close to the Dig Site.

Hi, we recently stayed in Cabanas 8A and loved it. I would recommend it for you as well, as it was right next to bus stop 4, right next to the dig site and a little bit longer walk to El Centro. However, even though we loved the theming (we are CBR fans and it was very close), I really liked the look of the Ranchos and the desert like feel, so in addition I'd also recommend the Ranchos building right next to Cabanas 8A (same as above for bus stop, dig site and El Centro), just look on the map.

cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge

cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above.

ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

The casitas are close to the gym, spa and have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building. Casita 4 & 5 are near bus stop 2.

Theme park buses go:
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas
1 - El Centro

Downtown Disney buses, as well as Park Exit buses go:
1 - El Centro
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas

CSR buses go in this order so that guests can hop on board a theme park bus and take it to the main building. They can then hop on a DTD bus to get back to their rooms.

Thanks for the list. That is what I saw on you sight.

Just to confirm, is this still the order the buses run?

If so, and I want to be near the first bus stop for the Theme Parks, would Casita 4 (or 5) be the best room location for us? We want to make sure we get on the bus. When we stayed at PO-FQ and POR, the people even at the second stop at POR weren't picked up due to full buses.

The pool is second on my priority list and we may not even get to it. If we do, I don't want to be directly across from the Dig Site. It looks like Casita 5 is close and 4 not much further.

We don't plan on going to the main building except for check in and check out. We plan on being in the parks all day.

We just came back from CSR, We were in Casitas 4 on the 4th floor. Great water view of the lake but the walk to the pool seemed pretty long. We were there for 2 days so did not use the bus transport. It was a very pretty hotel. The only thing I did not like about it was the Food Court. It was way too expensive compared to the AKL Food Court.

When we stayed at CSR last May, we used bus stop 1 and never had to wait for another bus to come. They were never full for us.

We loved our location in Casitas 4 but Cabanas 8a is also a good location to be in the middle of it all.
The resort is spread out but not as big as it seems.

Our first stay was in casita 4. Good location for the bus with a short walk to the pool. It was a good spot. Hopefully you'll have a room facing the lake and/or fountain.

Thanks everyone for the responses.

Buzz, we were thinking of Casita 4 (requesting the wing closest to the Dig Site - Section 4C) or Casita 5 (the wing closest to #4 - Section 5A). According to the different maps I found online, those would be reasonable distance from Bus Stop #2, yet not that far from the main pool. If we do want to go to the main building, the walk should be pleasant.

The only rooms available for the time we're going are water view, so we should get a room facing a fountain or the lake.

I'm not sure how crowded it will be in January, but in June sometimes by the time the bus got to Stop #4 or #1, there were no seats left. I was glad that we were in Casita's and used Bus Stop #2. We were in Casita's 3---next time I'll request Casita's 4, however the distance between them is minimal.
