Are there any websites that show you the room layouts for the various resorts? We are trying to decide where to stay in Sept. (not a member yet). Choices are OKW, VWL, or CBR. Which one do you all like and why. Also, how long on average to get to Disney from each?

Thanks!

You can get floorplans for the DVC properties here:

http://dvc.disney.go.com/disneyvacationclub/resorts/resortshomeindex

Select a resort and then click on the Amenities link. Page down and you'll see info on the different sizes of accommodations, along with a link to the floor plan.

Being the first DVC resort, OKW has the largest rooms. Admittedly I haven't stayed at many resorts on Disney property, but we think the OKW rooms are simply the most extravagant on Disney property.

The other on-site DVC resorts (VWL, BWV, BCV and soon SSR) are virtually identical in size and layout.

The travel time to "Disney" is a difficult question to answer. Walt Disney World consists of four theme parks, two water parks and about 22 resort hotels. Travel time will vary greatly depending upon your starting point, desitination, mode of travel and even the time of year you plan to visit.

Check the Transportation page on The DIS for some further details on getting around Disney World:

Not to mention 7 full 18-hole golf courses, two double course minature golf courses, a full sports complex, a large campground for RV's, Large convention center as one of the resorts, and several smaller convention areas, large shopping area in two parts (downtown disney and West End), large night club area (Pleasure Island). P.S., I count 27 hotels.

In total, Disney World is approximately 5-1/2 miles high (north-south) and about 5 miles wide (east-west).
