This might be a silly question, but I was wondering how you carry your room keys for FOTL? I cannot picture us pulling them out of our wallets, purses, pockets or fanny packs every time we want to go on a ride.
You know those boxes that are attached to a rope that are water resistant. You can wear them around your neck. They sell them at Universal. Also, you could get a lanyard and plastic holder. They sell them at Walmart for about .99
I have plastic ID holders on a strap that goes around my neck that I've gotten at workshops, etc. I put my room key, some money, and my charge card in it. I sometimes just put the room key in the front zipper part of my fanny pack too.
We just carried ours in our pockets when we were there. The actual ticket to get in was put away in wallets after it was scanned at the gate. This worked well for us all 7 days.
I've never been there but we're going in August. My plan is to ask the front desk to punch a hole in the keys and put it on one of those thingies that goes around your neck and you can clip it onto that.
Prior to this weekend we just used our back pocket. No
big deal really - but we stayed at RPR this weekend and
in the gift shop they have these great holders. The are
on a lanyard and really light weight. The velcro shut
and have a zipper section I kept money in - and an
inside pocket our kept our passes in. On the outside
is a clear section I kept my roomkey in. For those that
just looked at it (mainly at IOA for some reason) I just
showed it to them right in the plastic. At Universal
they mainly scan them so I would slip it out and the
right back in. It was great - and only $3.99. It is
light blue with the Universal logo on it.
I have shorts that have velcro pockets and I just keep it in there usually. When I don't wear those shorts, I either keep it in my back pocket or in my camera bag. I can understand about it being a pain and I like to "badge" idea...I may try that next time I stay onsite, which will HOPEFULLY be for my birthday trip...never noticed the water wallets before...
