I am wondering what is written on the key - what type of information will be on the card. I couldn't find a picture of anyone's room key on the internet can cnyone shed any light on this. My question is odd because my last name is a chinese name (my husband is chinese and I am Red head Irish woman), and he won't always be traveling into the parks with me and I was wondering if there would a problem with this?

The card will have the name of the resort where you are staying and your name on the card. It will have an "A" for adult or a "C" for child.

Don't worry about your husband not being with you at times. Nobody will question your name on the card. There are lots of people who don't look like they fit their name.

The only thing they look at is the dates on the card for FOTL.

Yes, I forgot to mention that....it has your check-in and check-out dates on the room key also.

Will the room key card have our first and last name on it? or just Last Name "A" for adult
Our room key had our names on it but the odd thing was we were staying at RPR but had PBH room keys
So I guess they were out of keys at that time :confused3

We are traveling with another family who is not staying on site and my husband is going golfing with the husband of the other family so it's going to be just us girls. I already added the two girls in the other family to my room reservation but my girlfriend doesn't look like a Michael. Unless Michael could be womans name, maybe it can??? It's only for one day and we are paying a fortune for the room.

i wouldn't risk it.
the consequences would be too great if you were questioned.

and it would be very embarrasing to go through that especially with the children with you.

Had that happen too only when I asked for an extra key in my name so I would not have to remove mine from the lanyard every time we go to the room.

I can only think your speaking about kicking us out of the park. Can't imagine that they would do that. It's not good business to kick someone out for a room key FOTL infraction. They might just say well your not supposed to do that and please don't do that again. But in all honesty I am paying for 5 people to stay in the room and I am only going to have 5 of us in the park that day, I really don't see this as a matter of stealing anything since the number of people is 5, it's a semantical problem that the name is different only.

Aren't you the same person asking if the Royal Pacific would notice if there was a second car in the RPR parking lot if you gave them your room key to get in to the parking lot?

Instead of trying to cheat the system at every turn, which just hurts us all, perhaps you should suggest that if your friends want to park at the RPR, use the pool (strict policy for resort guests only) and FOTL, that they just book a room for the night there. It would save a lot of headache for both families :goodvibes

Ok - I am sorry you feel the need to judge, but the question about the car - was just a question but you can take it anyway you want. They will pay for parking. Don't worry we are all paying. Nobody is getting anything for free.

I am paying for a room with 5 people registered in it. the only question was when my husband wasn't going to the park could I have another use my room key. No stealing going on. No one is taking anything out of your pocket or UNiversals. I paid for 5 and I want to use 5. the name on the card is a name only.

I think I will not ask anymore questions, but I did share some very good information about how to get reservations for resturants for large groups that many don't know about, you could search that on me. I do share helpful info, but I think I will stay away from posting anymore. I don't come here to be judged - It's not worth it. Why bring negativity into my day?

That's why you got a PBH key...they were out at RPR. They ran out of RPR keys our first time staying there. When there was a problem w/ our key they would call the hotel to verify we were guests there...only problem, they were calling the hotel on the key. They would come back to us and say "You're not staying at PBH are you?" They would end up calling all 3 hotels to find us! (Had I known to TELL them, I would have.)

--Kaitlyn....don't get yourself upset...nobody is judging you here. I understand you are paying for 5 people in your room to use fotl privs...but, the thing is, the 1 person you ARE paying for (your DH), isn't going to be using his priveledge. That doesn't entitle someone not staying in your room to use it. You would then have 6 people using the priveledge you are paying for 5 to use. kwim?

The room keys are non-transferable just like park tickets are non-transferable. Your best bet is to ask at the front desk and see if they might possibly accommodate your friend for the day. I am locking this thread as it is not appropriate to post ways to circumvent the rules that have been set by Universal Studios.
