Supposedly when we check into the Poly, we should get a 7 day hopper ticket (DCL land/sea package). Is this the same as the room key or a separate 'ticket'?

Also, how about while in the parks, can you charge anything and everything to your room key? I'd love to go without a wallet and worry about the least amount of things! Like cash or credit cards! ;)

Thanks!

Yes and Yes

The only thing you cannot charge are to some of the carts - some of them are not set up to handle anything but cash...

:)

Did this same trip (Poly/Wonder Land & Sea) in June. Your room key at Poly is your "ticket" to the parks and is also your room key on the ship. Disney refers to it as your "Key to the World" card.

You can charge almost everything with your Key to the World from food to souvenir purchases. I understand there are a very few walk-up concessions that don't take the KTTW card, but for the most part, you can go wallet-free - both on land and sea!

Have a great trip! Ours was "Wonder"ful! :)

Yes, the park tickets will be added to the room key. You can charge almost anything back to the room if you put a credit card on file. I usually only carry a couple of dollars in my pocket for the few things that don't take the room key.

Many thanks! Sounds just as dangerous as when you're cruising! SOOO easy to keep spending! lol

Never leave without your Drivers License. You may need it to verify who you are at the ticket gate or with the Dining Plan. Also, if you go to a water park, there are several locations that require cash and will not accept the room ID or a credit card. Always take some cash with you and another credit card, just incase you max out your room ID and they won't accept it.

if you buy your park hopper tickets from somewhere else can you turn the ticket in and have them put it on your kttw?

Yes you can do that and what you described is something my family and I did last December, however we did it a bit differently. Instead of adding our MYW tickets onto our current KTTW cards at the time, we added those tickets onto a blank KTTW card which was completely different from our KTTW card that we use for entering our room and for charging items.

We personally don't like to have our tickets on our current KTTW cards because they say the dates we are to be at WDW, so by having separate blank cards for our tickets we don't have to get them mixed up.

I think that's the point!! Especially when you add in that you can have almost anything sent back to the resort from the parks (for free), so you don't have to carry it.

But you can always take tickets from old KTTW cards and move them to your newer ones, that way you still only have one key. :thumbsup2

I'm glad you can add them to your room key, I was worried as we are giong out next year for our wedding and I didnt want all our guests to have several differnet cards.
