I did not know that on site hotel guests get priority seatings at UO restaurants. how does this work? Is this only for the parks? city walk? other on site hotel restaurants? Are there any places this does not work with (I would assume emeril's for example) do I even need to make ressie anywhere with this perk?

My trip is not until sept., and I find myself daily dreaming about front of the line access and now this perk as well! And people at disney wonder why we are all cutting our stays short over there!

I know the room key works at the Hard Rock Cafe. We were there last year over Labor Day weekend. There was quite a long line at dinner time. However, we showed our room key and were seated almost immediately. It really is a great perk - and FOTL at the parks is awesome!!

Have fun!

We used the room key at Mythos and at Citywalk. It really made everything go so smoothly. We never waited more than 15 minutes(and that was with a party of 11.)

Hi Gang,

Question for ya'll....My 30 day mark for my stay at Royal Pacific is today and when I called to make PS for Margarittivile I was told that it doesn't matter if your staying at a Universal Resort. Matter of fact, all they did was take my name, party size, preferred seating time and asked for a contact number. I didn't even get a PS confirmation number. So, is this normal?

I am just very worried about the wait cause last year when I called and made a priorty seating there at Margarittivile (a week in advance), we had a two hour wait! Mind you we were not staying at a Universal Resort at that time, but I'll have two dogs waiting back at the room for me, so I don't want to leave them for more than an hour or two.

Any insight or experince ya'll have on booking PS inadvance would be helpful....thanks,

Okay I am confused. We are staying on site in June so are you guys saying we don't need to call a month in advance for PS? Just show our room key on the day we want to eat there? Should we call a month early and tell them we are staying on site?

I just made my priority seating for Margeritaville (sp) in June. Do I still show my room key to get seated faster? :D

When we were there in March we did not make any advance ressies. We did eat at both Emril's and most Citywalk resturants and sometimes with a party of 8 or more. If you are staying on site all you need to do is go to the hostess and show your room key and they will place you on the pirority list. It does not mean you will get seathed right away. The longest we ever waited was 30-35 minutes. It is a great perk and it works!

Preppy,

Thanks that's good to know especially since you were there during Spring break season and still didn't have to much of a wait. Maybe it was just me, but last time I drove there and called in advance for PS at Margarittivile it was still a two hour wait. And, with dogs back at the resort I just didn't want to be gone from them for that length of time on top of being at the parks all day, so I'll be sure to show my room key at the podium.

Thanks again, Between having PS booked 30 days in advance and showing my room key, I showed be fine then. What a relief....

Don't want to burst your bubble, but I was at Margaritaville a few weeks ago (Friday, 4/25). Even with my room card we had a 1 1/2 hour wait. (She said it would be 3 hours without it!) Of course it was a Friday night and we had a party of 8, but just wanted to let you know.

We aren't going til December, but I was hoping to stop by Margaritaville for a drink/dessert after IOA closes on Friday night(around 9pm) - will we really have to wait over an hour with a room key card?

Just back from RPR. Margarittaville had 45 minute wait for on-site guests. We got a deck table much quicker.

If there are only a few of you why don't you ask to be seated at the bar. You still have full menu choice. We didn't have any wait and hey no trouble finding the bartender.

I was at Margaritaville in April. It was about 8:45pm and we were told the wait would be about 45 minutes (with card). But we actually waited only 15 minutes before getting a table.
Last November, I was told the wait would be 20-25minutes. My pager went off as I was walking away from the podium. The room key card works great.
