Do you need a FOTL pass for all members of your party. We have a family of 5. I do not intend to pay for an additional room for a 5 year old;) . If we stay at a Universal Hotel does every member of our party need to produce a room key?

Thanks.

Yup, everybody, including the 5 year old, needs their own hotel key.

However, you are in luck. Unless you are getting a king room, which only allows for 3 people, all the Universal hotel rooms allow 5 people per room at no extra charge.

So, just put all 5 names on the reservation and you will get 5 key cards.

Thanks Goofy!!

Expedia said we had too many in room.

In any room with the 2 queen beds, you are allowed 5 people. 2 can be adults and the rest can be children at no extra charge.

If you have 3 adults and 2 children, you will be charged an extra amount for having too many adults.

But for your 5 year old, you should be fine.

Book through here:

www.loewshotels.com

First, sign up for the loewsfirst card (free),

then, when you book through Loews, you get the welcome gift you selected when you signed up for your loewsfirst card.

Loews usually has the same or better rates than Expedia, Orbitz or any of the third parties. And you get Loew points towards your stay.

How do you carry your room key for FOTL? My concern is that my DS's 7 & 8 will lose their keys if they aren't attached to them in some way.

Anyone recommend any special type of lanyard or bungee cord?

WOW, only 26 days 'til 1st RPH stay!!! party:

:woohoo: to you, you'll luv it!

just carry their cards for them:thumbsup2 & produce to TM @ ride entrance.

We've got 5 in our family, and that's always been a plus for us - Universal allows all 5 of us in a room. And we've never paid extra either. You can get a rollaway for an extra fee, but we always bring an air mattress.

Used to you could show just one key, but now they ask for a key for each person in your party. We kept up with the kids' keys when they were younger and showed them to the ride attendant for them.

We are a family of 5 as well and the way it works for us is wonderful. DH holds his key, DD(12) holds hers because they usually go off to the coasters together. I hold my key, dd(8) and ds(6) key as well as my AAA card in a lanyard. If you have AAA, remember to show that card everywhere at Uni/IOA, you get discounts.
