I have a question about the missing fridges from the Disney hotel rooms. I have been following the posts about the replacement of them on the resort boards and it seems like CBR is switching them out now and we get there in 2 weeks. Many people are reporting that there are no fridges in their rooms.

So here is my question... My sons have dairy allergies and my youngest still has a bottle before bed and at nap time. We usually go to Wal-Mart and stock up on several half gallons of cocnut milk to keep in the room. But now I don't know how to handle that. Can we request a medical fridge? Are those big enough to hold 3 half gallons of milk (we'll be staying for 11 days and I really don't want to have to drive to Wal-Mart on multiple occasions?

Yes. You might need to take a few of the shelves out of the fridge to accommodate the size of the coconut milk, or if it has a screw top, lay it on its side. Also, maybe bring a soft sided cooler and refill the ice in the morning, during afternoon breaks, and in the evening. We'll be doing this even WITH the studio fridge at BWV next week.

Thank you so much for the info! :)

A lot of people have one what the previous poster suggested about using a cooler and ice. So, tht is one option.

You can also call WDW Special Reservations to see if they are able to add that you need a refrigerator for medicl reasons. I can't look it up right this minute, but the number is listed in the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of this board.

I believe the 1/2 gallon containers require refrigeration, but if you can get it in quarts instead, it is shelf stable and doesn't need refrigeration until it is opened.

That way, you would not need to keep it all in the refrigerator if space is an issue.
