DH and I took our 6 month old daughter last year and stayed at the Poly. She did well in her pack and play but she was right in the room. She would go to sleep at 8pm and we would just sit there and evently go to sleep. We are going back and DD will be a little over two this time. What hotel would you recommend with some "extra room" for DD? I am looking at villas at Boarwalk but they can get pretty expensive. I just need an area to put her to sleep so she can't see us.
Thanks!

I'd recommend some of the other deluxes. Y&BC you could put the baby in the sink area. There is plenty of room there, you'd just have to brush your teeth and such before putting her down. Also, if you need a midnight potty break, I'd personally not flush!!! Other deluxes with that set up are GF, BWI, and AKL. We got lucky at AKL. We had a connecting room, and the area where the door was located (up near the bathroom) was a perfect area for the pack 'n play. We put DS there, and it worked out perfectly!!!

We stayed at the YC last year and had the same question. We had a water view so we sat on the balcony while she went to sleep and watch Illumiations and people watched with a snack. I was very peaceful and enjoyable. DD 2 did not have a problem going to sleep with out us in the room, we kept the sliding door open a little to listen for her. Once she was asleep we could go in and turn on the TV and not bother her.

Although not really big, we did well with DD at WL in a room with bunk beds. We got rails from Mousekeeping for the bottom bunk to make it safe. It was quite dark in that bed so DD didn't have trouble falling asleep. DH and I usually sat on the balcony until she was out and then put the TV on quietly. She was so tired from our activities that it didn't wake her up.

If you are interested in the Villas, try renting points from a member on the rent/trade board. The studios are set up like a hotel room (a little bigger), but the 1 bedroom might work well. You could put her to sleep in the master bedroom on an air mattress, or use the pack 'n play. My dd still uses the pack 'n play and she's 22 months. I plan on using it for her when we go in August as well. With your DD asleep in the bdrm, you and DH can enjoy the living room and/or balcony while she sleeps.
