Hi we're booked to stay at old key west in a 1 bed Villa next year and am wondering about storage/wardrobe hanging space. Are there any wardrobes or chest of drawers and is it enough for 2 adults and 2 kids? Is there space to put the suitcases or will we be tripping over them? Thanks x

You will be in heaven there! It's our favourite villa to stay in, and soooo much space! The front entryway has a closet that we use for whoever is staying in the main living area on the pullout couch or chair. The laundry room (yes, separate room) has shelving above the machines, and we put our dirty laundry in the basket provided in there. The master bathroom has tons of cupboard space and drawers for all of your bathroom items. Across from the jacuzzi tub is a double closet with lots of hanging space and shelf space above, plus floor space for shoes. I always try and pack at least 10 plastic hangers for extra hanging if I have room, but you can also ask housekeeping to bring you extra hangers. The master bedroom has drawers we use under the tv (three large ones), then two small drawers under a bench seat, plus we use the bedside table drawers for extra storage (books, chargers, paperwork, etc). If you are not buying a lot of groceries (which we love to do when enjoying our huge kitchen in this villa), there is extra storage beside the dining room table - kind of like a buffet counter with cupboards underneath - we use this as a pantry, but you could use for clothes/toys etc. So, to sum it up, you will have plenty of room to unpack and feel right at home without tripping over all of your things. And the bonus of OKW master bedroom that I love - you can store empty suitcases under the huge king size bed! There are lots of nooks and crannies around the villa to prop empty suitcases and bags as well, so you really feel like you are at 'home'. Enjoy!!:goodvibes

OKW's 1 and 2br's have more storage room, areas, closets, than my house! ILUVEEYORE covered it, you will be in total "Awe" :worship: at the amount of living space!

We travel with 6 to 9 people each June, including air mattress, extra pillow, blankets, suitcases and everything gets nicely tucked away each morning before we head out for the day!

Lovely thanks so much for that. We've just been able to book with a great deal 18 months in advance (for my 40th) and are already a bit obsessed. We stayed at the Polynesian 10 years ago when we got married there but have otherwise stayed in private villas so it's all new and v.exciting! Any other tips about the resort very welcome!

OKW is my favorite resort and the reason I bought into DVC! I love it's proximity to Downtown Disney. Take the boat from the OKW marina into DTD, especially lovely at night with all of the lights. The resort is so lush and tropical, very relaxing after a big day at the parks. There's a slide at the main pool that the kids really enjoy, and QS and a Bar, the Guirgling Suitcase, next to it. It's nice to have a Pina Colada while enjoying the pool. You can rents boat, paddle boats, bicycles etc. The resort is great fun!

One of OKW's best features is the amount of room you will have compared to the other resorts, it was the 1st before they figured out you could make them smaller and fit more people in. The 1 and 2brs have this fabulous outside balcony or patio if on the bottom floor. It has a table and 4 chairs, you can eat and enjoy the outdoors and the view, it adds to the living space.

I think you will enjoy you birthday there!
