I tried the search feature but it wasn't working. I'm trying to find out if room discounts are typically available in late August? If anyone can assist me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Yep, there should be. Disney pretty much offers discounts most times of the year, outside major holiday windows.

I like to use the chart in that link to track when room discounts are offered and released. The timeframe you're looking at is typically promising!
