Room discounts for marathon participants?

Is there any type of room discount offered for marathon participants? If so, when are they usually released? I didn't see anything on the official pages. Thanks! My daughter may be running. She does her first full marathon this May.

At some point under "Travel Details" they will post information related to packages. Not sure if they list a room only rate. To be honest, every time I have looked at the other races and the room only rates, I have found they aren't good deals. You will generally do better if you can get one of the general public room offers that is offered for that time period.

The discounts for that period will come out in the late summer. According to Mousesavers.com, the January 2011 room only discount came out on August 16, 2010.

Just to be clear, historically there are no marathon rates. The regular January off season rates will be published in the August time frame for 2012. There are usually discounts that come out for the period but not a marathon rate. Keep you ears open for winter discounts starting in the September-November period.
