Room discounts at WL villas?

I have a friend going end of Oct- early Nov and has a WL 1 bedroom booked... can he use a discount code with that type of room if one comes available?

He's not a DVC member.

The only way to know is to try. I have heard of AP discounts on the villas, but to be honest the best place to get a discount on a DVC is SSR or OKW. VWL books up so they don't need to discount.
