Room/charging and magic bands

Hi al,

Looking for some inside information. There are 4 of us going to the world in October and the last time we all could not have our own individual bands be on our individual charge cards. NO ONE is related either. Let me tell you that is a mess!!
Was wondering if WDW is up to speed on giving each person their own card to their own magic band?

I would love to think that it is so but.....

I know some of you are full of knowledge on this.

Please let me know what is up.

Nothing is charged to a "band" the band acts like a room key to charge to your room, whatever credit card you put down at check in for room charging will be charged.

I have stayed with my sil and my sister a few times and we have had no issues using separate credit cards for our individual room charges before and after magic bands. This was just two separate cc'ds though so maybe they can't do more than 2?

You can also return to the front desk and get a printout to be sure the correct items are being charged to the correct account and its easy to check because the name of the person charging will show up along with the purchase information.

I just had this discussion with my travel planner as my trip in April is with a friend, not family. She said at the front desk at the hotel they can link each magic band with a different card, no problem.

It can only be done at your Front Desk but the ability to correctly link 4 different cards is totally dependent on the skills of the person making the assignments. Just make sure that you double check after each one of you make your first MB charge. You will also each need to configure a PIN Code in the MDE app in your account settings.

The individual charges are available in the MDE app if you have the reservation properly linked to each MDE if you have different MDE profiles.

A friend and I did this on our trip in May, and each of us had separate CC's linked to our bands, with no problems. All charges went where they should.

Should have clarified....One I knew that the bands were vehicle to charge. lol but thanks for the schooling TJMW2727...
The second is that we do have two separate rooms and that will make it easier for getting this divided up.

Not sure what you mean by "schooling" but I thought it would be helpful to clarify for you (just in case) as well as folks who do a search for this subject and find this thread that may not know.
