Room booked at the Radisson, should I change?

I have a room booked at the Radisson for Jan 31 but Im thinking of changing it to another hotel. I have an AVIS rental I need to return.

Any suggestions?

We use the Days Inn down in Cocoa Beach and drive to the Port. Nice hotel, clean and safe - our two BIG requirements!!

Why are you considering changing? We loved the Radisson. Great room, beautiful pool...food very near by, and very close to the port.

We love the Radisson also, very nice with safe, clean, roomy suites. Budget is now closer since Avis has moved but I believe they still offer a shuttle.

I've booked a room at the Radisson as well and also have a rental from Avis. I didn't realized they had moved. Does anyone know how far Avis is from the port? Ginger, you mentioned that Avis has a shuttle to the port...any idea how often it runs?

I'd switch the car rental, not the hotel -- the Radisson is wonderful. And Budget is almost always greatly cheaper than Avis... it's win-win.

I wouldn't change hotels just because Avis moved. It's not that far away - just down the road from the Rad.

I originally booked Radisson because Avis was there. There were so many negative comments about the room quality there that I decided to use Quality Inn and it was much less expensive as well.

They have a shuttle to the port and I can return the Avis car earlier in the AM.

We're staying at the Radisson on the 23rd. If anyone needs a report of their current conditions, pm me.

While there have been some negative comments, our guadian angel (Shirley) let them know that some disers have been unhappy with room conditions and management said they were on top of it. Since then, I haven't heard a negative report.

Billinaz - my trip time won't help you, but anyone else need some info???

DH stays there on business likes the hotel. We called Avis and they run a shuttle to port from drop off and back to the hotel. We are staying 1/23 with DH DD 12 and DD 9 before our first cruise ever 1/24
