Room Blocks for Escapes Weddings...?

Hey everyone! I have a question for any of you Escapes Brides! I was under the impression that you get a room block & up to a 30% discount on the rooms and now I'm being told that they do not offer the discount or the room blocks anymore? What has your experience been with this? This changes everything now! Help!! Thanks!!!

Unfortunately, it's true. Escape Collection events are no longer able to set up room blocks. However, the amount you save with a room block has fluctuated over the years—at one point Escapes only got a 10% discount at any resort—and at the moment there are special offers available to the general public that are as good as or better than the discounts associated with room blocks (depending on the season). Additionally, those who book through the room block are not able to add the Disney Dining Plan or park tickets because you can't do a package, so for some people the room block just doesn't work.

Wow i was very misinformed! I was told we could do the dining package =/. My stepfather works for a major airline and we can get 2 rooms at a 30% discount. I'm just worried about my guests because I have been giving them the wrong information! My dad has an annual pass so he can get 3 rooms on that as well, so that is 5 rooms. Do you know if we can get a discount from the annual pass that we get with the Escapes package?

Yes - as long as the annual passes are active at the time you check in to the resort, you can use the discount. Just know that AP hotel discounts don't come out til about 2 or 3 months ahead of time. Hopefully there will be a good general-public discount available for your guests at the time.

Unfortunately the discounts end 6/14 and don't start back up until 8/14 and our wedding is on 6/27! No matter, we'll figure something out! Thanks a lot for your help!! I'm going to try to start my PJ soon!
