Room Block...Need Help?!

Hi,

IJust received my LOA and was looking over my room block and I have a total of 48 guests which make 16 families, does that mean I should have a total of 16 rooms blocked? Currently, I have 7...not enough right?


Let me explain, I have a total of 7 rooms blocked on each date from Jan. 8 - Jan.14, totaling to 49 nights. I'm scared that everyone will come and everyone will make a complete vacation out of it and then there isn't enough room?

How many did you block? For how many guests?

We guaranteed 50 nights and were able to block slightly more than that, maybe 60-ish nights for a guestlist of about 70 or so. Keep in mind some people may stay off property, outside of the block, etc.

I did block a few different days with the most nights on the day before the wedding and the wedding day, but you really don't need to go too crazy. As long as there is availability at the resort they will give your guests the rate even if there is not a specific room blocked.
