Room assignment anxiety!

I had a dream last night that we were assigned a room at Jambo so far away from the lobby that we were wondering aimlessly down the corridors and we never could find our room! Our trip isn't even until January!
I think I need to stay off these forums!

Not to discourage you but everytime we've stayed at Jambo I feel like I'm hiking to the lobby.

Wow, I thought we were the only ones with weird dreams about our DVC trip planning. DH had a dream last night that we had to put a complicated jigsaw puzzle together in order to get the reservation we wanted for our next DVC trip. He mumbled something about never getting it done within the time limit.

When the anxiety starts, I just remember that any vacation at WDW is better than staying at home working on the TO DO list.

And as to the walk, we haven't stayed at any Disney resort (DVC or otherwise) where there isn't a long walk to somewhere. After walking the parks, the hallways even at Jambo House seem really short. Just sometimes I have to take a bathroom break when still at the lobby area as I know the walk to the room is too long.

UnfortunatelyI felt that way about my savannah view studio, 5377. I think it was just the luck of the draw-I hadn't made any requests.

We "ALMOST" got upgraded for free to a 2-bedroom at Jambo. There was some lady yelling at everyone at Registration when we checked in that she wanted something different than a 2-bed. I think I saw her harassing them for at least 30 minutes (and she had been there before I got there as well) I guess she felt she was promised something different. There was an issue with my check-in (because of this) so I was told to be patient and maybe they would give the 1-bed I was assigned to her (along with the adjacent) and I would get her 2-bed. WOW! I didn't know that could happen with DVC. It didn't though, but maybe you will get lucky! Just some good thoughts to help you.

I didn't feel like it was a hike in Jambo from our room -- we were right next to the elevators

But just think, everytime you "hike" from your room to the bus stop, the lobby, an animal viewing area, etc etc etc....

you get to have another or beverage of your choice without adding on calories

that's what i kept telling myself when we were in a villa in the second to last bead to the north in Kidani in May.

And I'm in total agreement that being in WDW is better than being at work anyday

Well I gotta tell you that after staying at the Values (which don't get me wrong I think are awesome for the price) a casual stroll in down an air-conditioned hallway beats walking in the heat and humidity to the Main hall just to get a cup of coffee lol! Perspective...

Relax-your trip will be AWESOME-no matter where you room is. Have fun!
