The 9/4 Eastern voyage will be our 1st cruise ever & an early [by 3-wks] 13th anniversary present to be shared w/ our 8-yr old dd.

Is this a good/bad/indifferent room? Is it worth upgrading to an ocean view cat.9?

We can't wait to go... :Pinkbounc

Let me know while I still may have a chance to switch rooms.

Thanks!

Sorry, can't help you now, but we are booked into that cabin for the 8/21 cruise.

February 28th we were in room # 2105. We loved it. It is a quiet location and very convenient to the restaurants

Did you wished you had a window? Have you had a window before?

DH & I are going back & forth to switch to an oceanview room or not. What's your take on this?

Have a nice day!

It was our second cruise. We never had a window and never miss it.

You are only in your room to change and to go to sleep.

We had 2153....it must be the noisest room on the ship....I must have been over the engines or thrusters b/c at full speed the whole room would shake....which always seemed to be when we were sleeping.
The 2nd floor was VERY convenient. The restaurants are a short walk up the satirs, laundry is on 2nd floor and you are a short walk down to the gangway off the ship. Plus we found the aft elevators empty.
About the wondow, my husband was quarratined for 2 days b/c of a GI infection. Not having a window was a bummer b/c he was stuck inside. We rebooked a porthole room for January.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, I would imagine rm 2153 being extremely noisy when I look at the deck/floor plans.

Actually, we just switched to oceanview rm 2088 & we're very happy about that!
