So, whatever dining rotation you get, you lose one of those nights if you would
like to try Palo"s, right? Is there one special rotation or is it more of a personal
preference? Our boys will be 15&11 at time of cruise, they could use our dining
rotation if they wanted to right, even though they would rather be at the pizza
place? Thank you kindly for any information! :earsgirl: :smooth: :bounce:

The "right" night for Palo is very much a personal choice, but there are some ways to narrow down your choice. The first three nights on board will be your first nights in each dining room. This is when they present their unique themes and menus. Most significantly the first night you're in Animators is when they do the show. The next thing to do is find out what the theme nights are the rest of the week, like formal night, Pirate night etc. And pick the night you won't care about missing the most. An example, for us on the Western run, we like Palo on Tuesday night, cause nothing super special is going on in the dining rooms.

However, you can also double dip. Make your Palo reservations before or after you dining time. Lets say you have late seating, try an early dinner at Palo and go to the dining room and just have a salad or appetizer.

You kids can absolutely go to dinner on your regular rotation, the serving team will take good care of them. Or they have the option of ordering something from room serivce in your stateroom. On our last cruise with the kids, we went to Palo on semi-formal night and our kids got dress up and went to dinner at the dining room then had a formal photo taken. They were 17, 14 and 8. We were very impressed.

yes you loose that night if you eat at palos ... depending on your seating ... if you have early seating go with the kids and just have a drink or appy ... make your palo resi for the later seating ...

You do not lose anything when you dine at Palos. You *can* eat at the restruant in your rotation & eat a Palos. I took our two kids to dinner the evening we had Palos reservations & only drank a couple of cokes while the kids ate. Once they finished eating I took them to the kids club & then we went to Palos.

There is no set age for kids to go to the dining room on their own. The serving team will take good care of them at any age. However, you will want to consider your seating arrangements (is your family alone at a table or are you with other families) and do advise your serving team the night before. Obviously, I wouldn't consider sending really little one (they can eat with the kid programs!), but any age child who is able to behave him or herself will be well cared for. Of course, when the meal is over, he/she will be free to run the ship.

If you have concerns, either send them to dinner with the children's programming or get something from Topsiders or one of the fast food type outlets on deck 9...or order room service for them....
