Rookie Planning Questions

Hello,

I am a rookie, planning our first WDW trip for December 15. I just made an ADR for a restaurant at 7:00 am. I think there are EMH at 8 but we are not staying onsite on this particular day....we will just have checked out the day prior. Does this mean that after we are finished with our breakfast by the time the EMH starts, that we will not be able to do anything until regular park opening?

Thanks for any advice you provide!

Where is your 7 AM ADR? I thought the earliest in park ADR's were at 8 AM regardless of opening time.
If your ADR is at a nearby resort and EMH is 8 to 9, then yes, you will have to wait for regular opening hours to enter the park. EMH is for resort guests only and you will not be a resort guest that day

It is at the Crystal Palace ...I think that is in MK...right?

Yes, it's in MK. What day is it? Christmas week is showing 7 am opening times for CP breakfast, but I believe that indicates a regular park opening at 8 am, not EMH.

Thanks for your response! Their website currently shows EMH from 8-9 but I wonder if they just have not updated hours yet and might do a regular opening at 8-9 with EMH from 7-8? Like I said, I am super new to this and don't know what their "usual practices" are. Looking at one of the "planning sites" that shows "projected hours" it says 9 am for the date in question...12/21.

I'm guessing the park hours haven't been updated yet. They did do 7 am EMH around Easter this year, so it would make sense for them to add that around Christmas as well.

Thank you! That is what I have been assuming but have not been able to get any confirmation so far. I know when I first started to look, 8 am was the earliest so this must have changed and this is what they are planning and have just not documented yet. It makes it really hard to plan not, really know when things are going to be open!

I am sure that EMH was 7 - 8 that week this year. That would mean regular park opening was at 8. I did not know they opened ADR's early as well.
I think you will be able to enter the park at 8 AM if this is the case
Good Luck
