Made the reservation. We got put in the "Main" building which is about 1800 feet from the beach.

Is the Oceanfront bldg just for people who have ownership in the resort or can I request to stay in this bldg instead of the main building?

Also, does anyone know if they offer late check-out? The check-out time is 10 AM? - (although you are allowed to use the property until it's time for you to go check in for your cruise.)

Don't know about the first question, but when we were there in July there was NO late check out.

From what I understand the front building is only for stays of 7 days or more.

We were in the pool building. It was very nice, we could step out onto the balcony and look down on the pool. There is a little shuttle out to the beach that runs from the back of the pool. It was very easy to get to the beach and back so don't worry if you are not right on the beach. We were glad to check out at 10 and go directly to the port, as we got on the ship early and enjoyed the Mickey pool when it was not crowded.:teeth: I really enjoyed the Ron Jon, it was a nice start to a great vacation.:teeth:

I've heard nothing but good things about this place. I can't wait!

This statement is very true!

Thanks for the link. Hmmm....well, it seems there are more good reviews than bad. I'm a little hesitant now to stay based what was said. I guess I should give it a try and form my own opinion!

Just remember, this is a timeshare, not a hotel, so you won't get things like daily maid service and shampoo. Frankly, I like that idea that someone isn't in and out of my room everyday. I can't wait to stay here!

I always keep in mind that more people will post the negatives after a stay, but all the happy, satisfied people often fail to post positive experiences.

we recently stayed at the Ron Jon. We had a two bedrom unit in the pool bldg. Personally I thought this was the nicer of the 2 buildings as the building by the beach was isolated...the restaurant, mini golf and huge indoor playground were all located at the pool building. Of course the other building was just a golf cart ride away, but for convenience the pool building is the way to go. We would stay there again in a minute!
