Just wondering if anyone has attended the 90 minute time share pitch/tour at the Ron Jon resort in Cape Canaveral? We have been offered an amazing rate for 2 nights before our Feb cruise in a studio room ($99 total for 2 nights), but we'd have to attend the time share tour. It looks like the kids would have a blast there (as long as pools are heated I guess!?) and they've offered free child care during tour and free lunch plus another 3 day, 2 night stay at other 4 star resorts in US. I will have no problem saying no to time share pressures, but will think hubby will balk. We are currently booked at POP Century for before the cruise and are also going back to Coronado for 3 days after the cruise....so is it worth it to stay at Ron Jons and do time share tour instead of POP?

i haven't, but many of my neighbors have -- and they thought the resort was very nice. Not nice enough to buy into, but nice enough to take the free stay. :)

We did the tour in October. We had some time to kill before we had to go to the airport and it was too cold to go to the beach so we went into the Ron Jon store and they offered us $75 to take the tour. We were up front with the guy when we got there that we already owned a timeshare and weren't interested in another one. He was really cool about it, gave us the tour around the resort, no pressure at all and sent us on our way with our $75 (it helped pay for all the pictures I had just purchased in Shutters on our disney cruise!!). The resort was nice but way too much money IMO.

My DH and I had lunch at the Ron Jon resort this past September the day before our Magic cruise. We didn't know that they had a time share program until we were leaving the building. The facility seemed nice, but as we were walking to our car, I told my DH my impression -- it was nice, but lacked the Disney touch/magic.

My DH and LOVE Ron Jon's. We stayed overnight there before our cruise and will be doing the same in May 2006.

We never had the tour - which was fine by me. We belong to DVC, and we certainly don't have $ to join another timeshare. Ron Jon's is gorgeous - short walk to the beach, rooms are really nice. I'm looking forward to staying there again!

Prepare yourselves for Ron Jon's will be opening a HUGE place here at Port Canaveral that will have over 400 rooms, a convention center AND the gift shop that is now in Cocoa Beach will be closed and moved also - it will all be on 26 acres of land somewhere here at the port close to the Jetties. I have tried to visilized WHERE??????????? but until all t's are crossed and i's dotted, we won't know for sure. I do know that it will be on the water AND close to the port. I know of a couple that did take the tour and even tho they were impressed, they felt very high pressured to buy a time share, but they did get their free stay so said it was worth the pressure. IMO unless you are interested in buying a time share, naw not worth the pressure which you are already under before cruising, but the last choice is yours.
Take care, all stay safe and have an awesome holiday.
Blessings always
