I'm trying to decide what would be the most romantic restaurant in the entire WDW resort to have dinner with my DH one day in the next month or two. Any opinions?

Victoria and Alberts if you like fine gourmet, Bistro de Paris if you like French, and Blue Zoo for great food! The first two don't even offer a kids menu, Blue Zoo does, but I get the impression they would rather not have kids there--they offer two hours of free childcare in teh Dolphin kids' club which should help people read between the lines.

All have dress codes, V&A's requires a jacket for men and suitable dinner attire for women. The other two are business casual.

How about the Coral reef restaurant in Epcot, that is if you like seafood. Or the California grill in the Contemporary resort, you can even get a table and watch WISHES from a deck in the restaurant.

There is no guarantee of a window seat. And with all the inconsiderate parents who drag their overtired, overstimulated never dined anyhwere but McD's kidlets along who can't sit still and are tired and cranky and as such, quite disruptive, it's not all that romantic.

Mmmm, I'd love to try Victoria & Alberts sometime when DH and I go to WDW alone.

During our 2005 trip, we went out alone to Narcoossee's and there weren't too many kids there that evening and it was rather quiet. We waited for a window seat and it was a nice evening for us. After that, we went to Kimono's and there were NO kids there at all. :goodvibes

I don't think DH would be so much for the V&A's atmosphere (although I would love it), but thanks for all these other good ideas!

I think we're going to try Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge next trip. I think it looks romantic in the pictures I've seen. Between the dressing up and cost of V&A, my dh would only be disgusted. He refuses to take "dress up" clothes on vacation, lol. Men.... what can you do?

I'm also batting around the idea of the tea at the GF because it seems like it would be very girly. He'll go along only because I have no mom, no sisters, and we have 3 sons.

He'll still need to wear business casual attire, although most guys can handle chino's and a polo, even on vacation.

DH has gone to tea with me a couple of times, he doesn't mind it because he likes the lemon pound cake and can get a beer. :woohoo:

We've gone to CG twice, one with the kids, and once without. We were very lucky the first time to get a table right against the window looking at the castle. This past sept we went with the kids, the table location wasn't the greatest, but my dd's behaved wonderfully, they've been to many nice restaurants. Both times we were there we didn't encounter any disruptive children, but, I am sure that it does happen, often. Anyway, the dinner both times was wonderful and it is a very romatic location, especially when wishes is going on, and the fact you can walk out onto to overlook outside anytime during your meal. It was the best meal of our last vacation, hands down.

The MOST - Victoria and Alberts definitely. But also, I think the California Grill can be very romantic. V and A's is the only way I know of to go if it's really important to avoid kids - but it never has been important to us. I agree that Narcoosee is right up there as is the one in the Dolphin they are now calling Il Mulino New York Trattoria (An Itallian place - recently re-named).

I'm not getting the Califormia Grill. Everytime we have dined there it was overun with woodchucks. ;) ours included. I would not consider that romantic although some may? When we are kid free, we like to eat at Blue Zoo or even Jiko, although not entirely free of kids, it has less than others. I have never been to V&A and actually have no desire to.

Do you mean what used to be Palio at the Swan, or is there an entirely new place at the Dolphin?
