Have you thought about Jiko, California Grill, Narcoossees, Citrico's or Artist Point? All of these are resort restaurants.

Or...how about Chefs de France or Bistro de Paris at Epcot?

I suggest Narcoossees at the Grand Floridian...It had a great view of the Water Pageant and also Piped in the Music with a greak view of MK Fireworks.

Very Quaint and Romantic! :thumbsup2

We just at there for our 3rd Anniversary. Request Chevy! He was AWESOME!

I agree that you should try one of the restaurant signature restaurants. A little more expensive, but worth it if you are trying to make an extra special evening. You might have to be flexible with your times to get in though. My favs are Jiko and Artist Point.

I would suggest Sunday at Victoria and Albert's. It is one of only 46 restaurants in the country that AAA (similar to RAC) has rated with five diamonds (think Michelin 3 Star). It does require gentlemen at least with a jacket. V&A almost never fills up completely.

Other than that, I would think Bistro de Paris in the French Pavilion at Epcot. It is also very fine dining, and fairly quiet as they do not have a children's menu. Bistro only will make reservations 30 days out.

right i have had a quick look at these on the disney website and looked at some pics of inside and it looks lovely i just need to be sure of dress code

Dinner jacket is required for gentlemen (thats a proper jacket like a suit jacket) (tie optional) and dress or pants ensemble (so a womens suit) for ladies. Reservations required.

we are only packing light and obv these items werent on our original list and as i wanted it as a surprise can i really say to him pack a suit

he might be scared ive planned a wedding lol

hello again

i think i am going to try the flying fish i know none of you recomended it but it does look nice and i have never been either so hoping to book it when i get out of work tonight :) x x

1) Too many "romantic" restaurants are not.
2) With DDP, too many people bring unruly kids to these better eateries.
3) Plus, many of the adults don't even know how to act.
4) I recommend places where you seldom get kids or DDP people.
. . . Bistro de Paris, Epcot, France, upstairs
. . . Shula's Steak House, Dolphin resort, street level
. . . Victoria & Albert's, Grand Floridian, upstairs

NOTE: V&A does not allow children. Bistro does not have a kid's menu and discourages kids. Shula's is too upscale to see many kids.

I would recommend Norcosses or California Grill. When you make your ADR' (which you should do soon) reguest time and table to watch fireworks at MK. Enjoy

this is a point i never really thought about that is why i was avoiding character dinning as far away as possible we arent those sorta ppl

v&a is a bit out of my price range and as said before i dont think i could tell dbf to pack a suit when i want it to be a surprise

shulas steak house may look in to that because that is reachable from epcot correct?

i think i would rather eat earlier to watch the fireworks from outside i want to take lots of pics and if this is an up scale restruant i wouldnt feel comfortable gettin my camera out

We did Jiko's last year and have it scheduled again this year. My husband LOVED it. It has a dark romantic atmosphere and then you can always check out the animals after or before dinner. The food is excellent. And there were no kids when we ate last fall during free dining. I think the atmosphere there is more adult oriented than many of the other signature restaurants. We have two small children and I wouldn't bring them.

Another vote for Jiko. I did see childen there - but all were extremely well behaved. It is a beautiful restaurant. Another suggestion would be Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge.
