Does anyone have any romantic ideas for a honeymoon in Disney. I want to suprise my hunny with something and I'm not sure what to do. I was looking at the floral baskets for the disney florists and the carriage rides. Any suggests or inputs? :bride:

What about some nice dinners? You could get a table at the California Grill at the Contemporary for during the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom? Or a table at Victoria & Albert's at the Grand Floridian? You could also try one of the boat rides to see Illuminations.

How about scheduling a Segway Tour...maybe that's not as romantic, but it is a great experience! I think it was my DH's favorite part! (okay, maybe after the wedding;) )

You could also look into a couples massage at one of the spas or arrange for a private dining experience at the GF...

I like the idea of the Wishes or Illuminations cruises too!

Hehehehe - the segway tour was my DH's favorite thing too. He still recommends it to everyone.

I'm a big fan of the idea of doing private dining at the GF and timing it so you can see Wishes. I've never done it, but I am hoping to arrange it for the next time DH and I are in WDW.

I really enjoyed renting a boat at GF, and taking a little romantic picnic lunch on the lake.:cutie:

The Segway tour was my DF's absolute favorite thing we did on our last trip. I think he told me three times throughout the day how much he enjoyed it!

what exactly is the segway tour? i hear a lot about it but i'm not sure what it is. Do I have to have reservations?

There are a couple of options now I think...

The original two were:

Simply Segway (Epcot): about a 1 hour program that is the basics of how to ride/use a segway. This one is all indoors/classroom setting.

Around the World on a Segway (Epcot-World Showcase): this is the one that I think is most popular. It's about a 2 hour program that starts with the basics (Simply Segway) in a classroom setting to learn how to use the segways. After about an hour of training, the whole class (about 10 guests and 2 CM's) go out and about in World Showcase. *Usually* before it is open to the public. You get to go through all the countries and hear a little about each of them...all on a segway! It is really cool! The cost for this one is about $80 but there are discounts available for AP's, AAA, and Disney Visa holders.

And, I have heard that there is a new segway tour in/near Fort Wilderness.

You do have to make reservations early because the group limits are pretty small (the Around the World one is about 10 people).

Hope that helps! I'm pretty sure if you call CRO they can help you book the tour!

I'm having a gift basket delivered to our room the day we check in filled with wedding things and then the night before we get married I arranged a horse drawn carriage ride (at the Port Orleans Riverside) for my fiance and I. I think it's going to be terribly romantic to get away from our friends and family in the evening and have one last quiet moment together before we get married. :) I can't wait!

Just a note on the carriage rides at PORS, we did this the night before our wedding and the ride itself was very nice. The only thing was that the driver spent the first half the the ride chatting with us. Now, right or wrong, I really just wanted her to shut up and let us enjoy the time together. I didn't care about the "interesting" facts she knew about Canada or about her vacations!!

Then at the end I went to get a picture of our pony and reached up to touch him (which I now know you aren't allowed to do). I was standing where she directed me to and the horse leaned over to sniff me. When something is that close to your face it's mostly instinct to put your hand up, it's not even like I was trying to pet him. The woman literally screamed at me and then proceeded to scold me! All that was really required was a, "please don't touch him," or some such. Or better yet, don't tell me to stand so close to pony's head!

Anyway, it was nice (at least half of it) but not very romantic... And I'm not sure it's something I would bother with again.

How sad for you - she should have known better! People like that who are so rude really annoy me :( I'm sorry it was bad for you.
