Romantic Dinner for 2

Dh and I will be staying at AKL for a night without our sons. I don't think the dh will like the dining options at AKL so I am trying to figure out where to eat. I would love to eat and be able to watch the fireworks at the MK.

How is Kona for dinner? I could plan an 8 PM dinner and then find a place to sit and watch on the beach, Does that work? Or is O'Hana better?

I haven't been to Kona. I have been to Ohana though and I don't think I'd ever consider that a restaurant on property that I'd have a romantic dinner at. Lots of noise and lots of kids.

I absolutely love the polynesian but I guess I wouldn't go to either for a romantic dinner. Ohana's is loud and Kona cafe has really good food but it doesn't have the atmosphere for a romantic dinner. I would go over to Narcoossee's. We at there our last trip and it was right out on the water at the GF. It was really pretty and the food was great.

I second the Narcoossees idea! I do love both Kona and Ohana, but they aren't really romantic. We ate at Narcoossees for my 30th birthday and it was stellar. The food, the atmosphere and the service all was top notch. I think it is the most romantic, intimate restaurant on property. The view for Wishes is also wonderful and a great way to cap off a perfect dinner.

We would reccomend dinner at Citricos at the Grand. 8pm could be too late for dinner, depending on the fireworks.

I'd give yourself 2 hours for dinner before fireworks.....then walk over to the Grand's beach (they have beautiful little lounges built for 2)

Neither of those options at the Poly are really romantic. Either of the mentioned GF restaurants would be good or the California Grill at the Contemporary.
