We just came back and the pasta I had was.......

......so goooooood.....it was Penne Rustica - Imported penne pasta with shrimp, grilled chicken and smoked prosciutto baked under a golden crust of Parmesan cheese.

DH and I had never been before and boy o boy, was I glad we went there instead of the Outback........

:thumbsup2

this is our favorite off-site place to eat when we are in Orlando.

Penne Rustica is what I get every time I go! I love it!

I love Macaroni Grill! Yum. Unfortunately they stopped making my favorite dish, but I still love to go there!

Maybe I can convince DH to take me there tonight... :)

I love Romano's because they offer whole wheat pasta as an alternative. I loooooove the Carmela's Chicken Rigatoni - Grilled chicken, mushrooms, caramelized onions, fresh basil and Parmesan cheese tossed with imported rigatoni pasta and creamy marsala wine sauce. Yummy!

Born and bred Italian here and I gotta say Macaroni Grill has the best Italian food! My Grandmother might come and kill me now for saying that, but its true. I love that place. I don't go there too often (fortunately for my waist line!) because there isn't one too near me, but whenever I do I'm so impressed with the food and service. I love their Chicken Scallopini!

The one here would actually close if it weren't for the overflow of people who get sick of waiting at the Cheesecake Factory. :confused3 It's a ghost town.

a lot, before they closed it. :guilty: It was only open about 3 years, and closed up one day, a few months after we went there. :confused3

Did that happen to be the Farfalle al Sugo Bianco?? I don't know why they got rid of that dish :confused3. My mom, my DH, and I LOVED it ::yes::. Mom and I had lunch one day just last week there. We LOVE the chocolate cake and always share it for dessert . Miss that Sugo Bianco, though :(.

They are building one where I live. I ate there while we were in Orlando and really enjoyed it, the portions are really large.

What is the deal with honor system and wine?

The one by us is ALWAYS crowded. We usually have a long wait.

I had a somewhat minor complaint once and I wrote them on their website telling them about it. They apologized profusely and sent me $40 in free coupons for my next visit. Excellent customer service! :thumbsup2

Penne Rustica is my favorite as well.

We've tried it a few times but they have the tables crammed so close together that you feel like your sharing a table with all the people around you. On the same note my sister and I went to Cheesecake Factory a few weeks ago (on a Sat night, big mistake) and they tried to seat us in one of those tables that is a LOOONNGG bench seat in one side with chairs on the other side of the table. We took a look at that and we said no way. We weren't in the mood to make new friends with the 2 families on either side of us. You'd think that they could take the hint and not cram 100 tables in the space for 75. :confused3

My favorite is the Shrimp Portofino. Tender, sauteed shrimp with mushrooms, pine nuts and spinach in a tangy lemon butter sauce. Served with pasta. :thumbsup2

My daughters and I love going there. We play tic-tac-toe and scribble and doodle on the white paper on the table :)

Plus, this month, they're celebrating pouring their 100,000,000th glass of wine! And it's about as far a walk from where I live to Macaroni Grill as from Boardwalk to the Int'l Gateway entrance at Epcot!
:thumbsup2
