Hello everyone!

My dh and I are planning a vacation to Disney World in April next year. I would like to surprise him some how :rolleyes1

The only problem is...we have only been to the world 1 time :scared1:, and that trip was catered to our three darling princess:'s! So we have really only seen what the world has to offer little ones!

Can you please help me think of some cute, creative, romantic things I can do to surprise him?? He is normally the one to surprise us - so it would be great to turn the tables for once!!!

Any ideas would be great!

Thanks so much for your help!

Oh, my...there are so many things! Disney is actually a really romantic place. Walk on one of the resort beaches in your bare feet and curl up in a hammock together. Pack a picnic from items at your resort (or call Disney and ask them to pack one) and have lunch together on Tom Sawyer island. Have dinner at a fancy restaurant and then watch the fireworks.

I did several posts around Valentine's about the options for romance at Disney. Here's the cheap/free and the under $100 ideas I suggested.

Good luck. Enjoy your time together. Remember that there's a lot of romance in being big kids together and reminding yourselves why you fell in love. Disney's a great place to do that. :lovestruc

I would do something crazy like propose to him again under the fire works at the Poly. Something he would never expect!

how about a tour
Wild Africa Trek, Journey deep into Pangani Forest on a thrilling, privately guided expedition featuring close encounters with exotic wildlife species. Get closer than you ever dreamed possible to Nile crocodiles and massive hippos. Venture on to a VIP safari across an open savanna teeming with native African creatures!
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour, Guests must be at least 16 years of age.
This approximately 4.5-hour walking tour explores the stories behind the remarkable creation and growth of Magic Kingdom theme park. Hear the intriguing story of Walt Disney and learn how his innovative ideas, revolutionary visions, creative philosophies and amazing accomplishments brought the Theme Park to life. The journey includes stops at backstage facilities and a variety of favorite attractions & Utilidors

The fireworks cruises are really romantic (Well I haven't done one, but they look it:thumbsup2).

Watching the fireworks at MK from the beach at Poly would be romantic.

Also I would love to eat at the California grill (top of Contemporary) or in France at Epcot.

They also do in room surprises that you can order online with a gift basket. They have so many choices to pick from for everyone. THere is wine and strawberries or a manly beer one or flowers etc. So you could have something in the room upon arrival and then do something else (dinner, boatride etc) later.

Have fun planning!

I would second Cali grill, request window when you get there. Also the upper rest. in france is really nice, actually took the kids in there. wine is costly food is great mostly older crowd....

The wife and I did epcot and snacked and drank around the world, it was fun people watching, not worring a about being at a rest. at a set time.

. Hoppie doop review (fort wilderness) is a fun dinner show, with all the beer you can drink. You can also get him a nascar test drive at the track, chartered fishing at disney or else where as it will be prime bass season in april or golf. the later is AKA you get a little spa time as well.

is the upstairs restaurant in France. It is quiet, romantic and elegant. We went there for dinner after our 10am Wedding and have celebrated several Anniversaries there as well.

Just BE TOGETHER!!! WDW is a Magical Place!

:love::love::love:

Dinner at Victoria & Albert's - definitely! It's THE most romantic place in the World. :tinker::cloud9:

Yes, that's true...we went there for our 2nd dinner as a married couple.

However, we paid more for that dinner for 2 of us, than we did to take 16 people to lunch at WCC!

It may be cost prohibitive for some people.

Just sayin'

And it's also important to know what's romantic for you. Different couples find different things romantic. My DH and I went to CRT for our anniversary a few years ago and found it incredibly romantic, a little bit of Fairy Tale romance for the two of us. Other people would find that stupid and childish. I have little desire for Vicky & Alberts - I'm often uncomfortable in a formal dining room with 2 servers watching me. A couple I know spent hours together in DisneyQuest, playing games together and laughing like kids; they said it was the most romantic thing they'd done in years.

Think about what you enjoy doing together. What's going to make the :lovestruc go off? Is it uber-elegant dining? Alone time in a romantic atmosphere? Being kids together? What's going to make a lifelong memory and remind you of all the wonderful reasons you fell in love?

my husband is a good sport and has always done things for the kids as they were growing up but never loved going to wdw like i do and just couldn't picture a reason for the two of us to go so planned our first just the two of us trip like a honeymoon (now he tells all his friends what a great place it is to go as a couple and we've been back 3 more times just the two of us since 07). we take a little more time mid day at the resorts to avoid the worst heat- our anniversary is in july. we do late night dips in the hot tub or pool. our first time going we stayed at the gf and he planned a picnic for us on the beach during the fireworks one night. we did all signature dinners. we took a little time to enjoy the lounges and have a few drinks (love disney transportation automatic designated driver so we could both drink and not worry :thumbsup2). if you do it right your husband will love disney and never want to go with the kids again lol. i must also admit i used a very little snow white costume to get him to agree to book the trip in the first place :rolleyes1.

Make dinner reservations for the 2 of you at Cinderella's Royal table for 30 minutes prior to the start of the nightly fireworks. The "tables for 2" are all along the windows and you guys would have front row seats to the fireworks.

i agree with the notion that 'romantic' is highly individual. One of the most romantic things we do is share a hammock at the resort beach under the stars and just enjoy quiet time together.

We also have had dinner at Cali Grill and watched fireworks and I ordered a special honeymoon cake for dessert (there is a cake chatter thread...if you need it, let us know...we'll post a link). We also enjoy dinner at Narcoosee's on the water...very nice atmosphere and wonderful view of MK.

My DH and I go to alone every Feb for our anniversary. Last year we "splurged" on the deluxe dining plan and ate at all the "fancier" restaurants. The atmosphere at these places was always romantic and it was special to try new and different things together.

From a guy's perspective...book him a round of golf, the steam trains tour, or the raceway experience.

And according to the guys at WDW Today, nothing says romance like a moonlit stroll through the All Star Resorts. :goodvibes
