Rolling Carry On Luggage Deals?

Ours (the older model) came with 2 long rigid supports with velcro on both ends. If I stand them up it gives the top section more of a structured area. If I lay them flat then the top is more of a soft unstructured area, like a duffel bag. We have used them both ways depending on what is in the top section. It is more compressable if you don't use the supports. Hope that helps.

Are you a Sam's Club member? I just got a flyer from Sams Club with March deals and they have some Heys luggage on special until March 30:

Heys Router Hardside 2 pc. Luggage Set (22" carry-on spinner and 26" spinner) $79.98

I haven't seen them in person though, but at that price...hmmm. maybe I need some luggage too LOL

I Ran down SAMs for this deal and was saddened to see how narrow and small they were. I put them back and bought these two instead.
For my check bag I bou ght the 28 hard at SAMs for $109. Otherwise it ws Tinkerbell or Minnie Heys on Amazon.
I bought the Heys 22" hybrid carry on that is hard side back and ballistic type front, really light. I must have bought it at AAA.com or Ebags with the 20% off. $59 from $129.

I have to second PPs and say Marshall's and TJMaxx, but I also have to say, of all places, Sears. I got some great deals there last year on rolling duffles. Of course, I also have to admit that we were looking for a very very specific size that DS had to have for camp (we were given specific dimensions) and they were one of three stores that had that size and their price was definitely the best. Another place I've gotten a great deal on a rolling duffle is Sierra Trading Post. Like TJ Maxx and Marshalls they specialize in discontinued merchandise but really, with luggage does it matter :confused3

I travel a fair amount for work. I bought a Delsey last year at TJMaxx and its been great! Great price and its holding up really well. I bought my mom a Samsonite from TJMaxx for Xmas two years ago and thats holding up really well too (she travels quite a bit too).

OK if your DH is like most business travelers he's not going to want what you find at Marshall's or TJ Maxx. He is going to want black LOL! They get the odd colors in that smaller size in most cases. He's probably also not going to want the Heys. (I wouldn't use them)

The Kirkland case discussed above from CostCo has a legion of frequent flyer travelers who love it.

When looking for new luggage look on the tag for the denier count. The higher the number the strong the fabric is.

Macy's is starting their Friends and Family pre-sale (with the sale starting on the 24th I think) and you can get an extra 25% off. I would stay away from discount luggage as it really isn't a deal. Go for something that is a little more expensive and will last much longer. Also check the clearance sections. They occasionally have Samsonite, Travelpro, or other brands at great deals.

I dragged and flung my eBags MotherLode all over Manhattan and it took the abuse like a champ. Worth every penny! I have ordered a second piece.
