Rolling book packs on college campus?

As a college student, I would say no to the wheels. :sad2: Only the professors use them.

The college I attended had cobblestone walkways. Rolling backbacks weren't around then, but the walkways would have made using them almost impossible.

Don't know where your DD is going to school - but if it is a snowy climate - I can't imagine using a wheeled back pack - it would be trashed very quickly in the snow/salt/ice.

If you do end up getting one, make sure it has big RUBBER wheels. The cheap, little plastic wheels wear right out over the concrete, plus they make so much noise as the wheels roll over surfaces. Rubber wheels are more noiseless.

She won't want to be drawing added attention to her as people turn to see what is being dragged.

And also try it out with a load to see how easily it tips. My youngest DD doesn't talk and uses a computer to talk for her. We thought a rolling backpack would be just the thing to carry the computer in. Hers tips over easily and is more trouble than it is worth, so we got rid of it.
Also, we found that a lot of them had pretty short handles; not a problem if you are short, but I found I had to stoop a bit using it and/or it was so close to me that I ended up hitting my heels on it while pulling it behind.
