Roller Coaster Question...

I'm not very adventurous when it comes to roller coasters but with an upcoming trip in November I'd like to try a few. I've only been to USO/IoA once before and didn't ride any coasters other than the Mummy one.
So my question is this...if I can handle Rock N Roller Coaster at DHS, are there any ones that are equally intense? I'm mostly thinking about the Dragon Challenge and Hulk coasters.
Thanks! ;)

After the launch, Hulk is basically just like any other coaster so you should be OK on that. I think Dragon Challenge might be a bit more intense only because its an inverted coaster and your feet dangle. Disney coasters don't do that.

I find Hulk and Dragons to be much more intense than Rock N Roller Coaster.

If you enjoyed RnRC you'll be fine with the Hulk. Dragon Challenge is very fun and worth just giving it a try, if you hate it then you'll know never to ride it again.

I generally like coasters, but Hulk isn't one of my favorites. To me, it shakes you around a lot and is disorienting. Dragon Challenge is really fun, but your feet are hanging, so if that freaks you out, it may not be a good option.

They are both a bit more intense but huge amounts of fun......definetely give them a try.

RnR coaster banged my head about too unless we sat on the front row, I find sometimes The Hulk bangs our heads around......sometimes it doesn't.

I did like RNR coaster when we used to go to Disney....fun ride but very short. Much prefer Hulk and Dragons :thumbsup2

You have to try Rip Ride Rockit. That's a great ride too.

Thank you everyone for your opinions. I'm definitely going to give Hulk a try since I do like that launch in the beginning. California Screamin' at CA has this too and I love that ride. I've never been on a coaster with the track above so that may take some more consideration. As for Rip Ride Rockit...NO WAY! ;)

Is there a secret to NOT getting banged around on Hulk? We rode it maybe 10 times, and it was super smooth half the time and migraine-inducing the other half. I never did notice which spot on the ride seemed smoother. By the end of our trip my daughter had to ride it alone, it was just too jarring for me.

I've been on the Dragon, the Hulk and the Rocket many times and found that of the three the Rocket is the smoothest. It looks more intimidating than the others but the ride is definitely the easier ride. I would give it a try.

My Mum doesn't enjoy rollercoaster rides however she likes going on Hulk, Aerosmith and The Mummy as they offer a 'haopy' medium of speed and twists.

Try to keep your head back against the headrest from the very start. It helps for most coasters but is tough to get it back there once you're into the ride. This is especially true for any with inversions.

Out of the rides mentioned believe it or not I also find this the smoothest, then the Dragons and last the Hulk, I love it but more than three times in a row I need to take a rest.

Shock 13 your much braver than me. I went on RnR and thought I was going to die.........Hated every second of it........Now hubby and kids ride and I hold the bags and take pictures.......

Ditto for me on RRR...once was enough and I enjoy coasters. The straight vertical start was too much for me. I find Disneys RRC to be the tamest of the coasters...maybe because the inversion isn't as high or as long? If you try Dragoms do both sides, the experience is slightly different.

I rode all of them at both disney and universal and Dragons Challenge was only one I didnt like. I felt a bit sick after it.

Wendy, RnR was the first (and only) roller coaster I went on that had the corkscrew turns and didn't mind it at all. I do remember not riding on Space Mountain until I was nearly 14 because I was so scared. This was pre-fastpass so that hour in line was like torture! But of course I went on it and loved it. ;)
