Roller Coaster Intensity

Barnstormer
7DMT
Slinky Dog
Big Thunder
Space Mountain
Everest
Rock & Roller Coaster

Oddly I can do EE, RnRC and BTMRR, but Space makes me green every time.

Thanks, everyone! I'm tempted to FP SDD and SDMT, but I'm hesitant after our experience on Vapor Trail at Sesame Place. That one had a big first drop and tight turns throughout. You could feel the forces start to finish. Barnstormer made me a bit dizzy, but DD loved it, presumably because there were calmer areas in between the turns. Are there some moments of calm on SDD and SDMT?

Mild is definitely subjective. I think *every* "roller coaster" at Disney is mild.

This has been helpful. I have some motion sickness and do just fine on Barnstormer and Seven Dwarfs.
As my kids get older they are asking to go on Big Thunder.
You make me feel reassured to do that one and Slinky Dog!

I hear you - I’m a certified ride wimp myself. My kids (10 & 13) did BTMT this summer & absolutely loved it. Of course I stayed behind as 7DMT is even too much for me! :o I was talking to cast members while waiting for them. And their opinion was that even while smoother, Slinky Dog is more intense than Big Thunder Mountain. I thought that was interesting because I feel the consensus here is that Slinky Dog is less intense than BIg Thunder. My DH said it’s good I didn’t ride Big Thunder as I probably would have had a heart attack. (I clung to him for dear life on 7DMT!)

SDD was fun and mild. However, I was a bit surprised by the first turn up the hill. Both times I rode I was sitting on the left, and if you look to your left I think it could be a bit much for some people with a fear of heights. I'm scared of heights, but oddly not on rollercoasters so it didn't bother me one bit. But my nephew (11) rode on that side once and said he didn't want to the next time.

Yes I have heard that too from friends who have been on it. They describe a “bank to the left” at certain points during the ride. I’m hoping to be brave enough to ride Slinky Dog this summer. :tilt:
