We rolled 497.50 worth of change. All we have left is 27lbs of pennies (Yes, DH weighed them! LOL) & some odd change (not enough to roll). If I would have realized how close we were to 500.00 I would have rolled some more pennies, but by the time I stopped my hands were so filthy that the thought of touching another penny made me ill. :crazy2: If was worth it to have some extra spending money though! :)

Wow.. The most we ever got with Coins was 280 dollars.. I know what you mean about the Penny Smell.. YUCK..

That's incredible!! My son and I rolled change last summer and got about $100 worth. You have moved up to the major league of change rolling!::yes::

Well, I must admit, DH & I have been saving change for about 7 years. We never spend our change & had no real goal for saving. To justify our 3 character meals & pal mickey I said "OH please, there's probably more than enough change in that old popcorn bottle!" LOL, I actually had no idea how much money was in there, I just got lucky! :hyper:

We had to put our change into our savings account at the bank because the kids kept dipping into it and putting it in their bank:sad2: They are only 5 and 3 but I explained how important it is to save for things we really want like a Disney trip and that we much all work together in order to have a wonderful time on our trip and that means no stealing!!!::yes::

We managed to save $254 since our November trip. Not too bad and now our change is looking pretty sad.

Time to start saving again:flower1:

I saved change before DH & I were married. We both continued doing this after we were married. We decided that every few months we would roll it & put it in the bank.

The money kept adding up - probably about $400-$500 per year. We never really talked about what we were going to do with it. I had mentioned taking the Disney cruise, we talked about new furniture someday, but just kept letting it add up.

Well, one day DH said "Why don't we take our change & join DVC. That way it's not just a one-time vacation or an item that can get tossed out later. We'll be able to enjoy it for over 40 more years". You didn't have to ask me twice. We had over $6000 to put towards our DVC purchase. We continue to save our change & had about another $1000 over the next 15 months to put towards the loan - & finally paid it off with our "change".

We continue to save our change. Every time I put some in the bank, which is about once or twice a month now I tell myself it is more money towards more points!!!

Keep saving the change - it really adds up. In fact - not to get too long winded - but I was at the $ store the other day & my total was $12.05. The cashier asked if I had any change & I said "no", knowing that I had some in my pocket. The gentleman behind me said "here, I have some pennies - those things don't add up to anything anyways"!!! I felt bad taking his 5 pennies when I knew I had some, but I would have been more embarrassed to reach in my pocketfull of change.

As I was walking to my van I was mumbling to myself how "those things do add up & I'll continue saving them even if they are just pennies"!! :p

Hubby and I were saving change for our WDW trip in June. Last weekend we had some help and decided to roll and count it. We have about $20 I said. $40 guessed the help. (I didn't say we were "good" change savers :p

The grand total was $160. Not too bad. We will start again after our trip and I will definately save harder.
