Just one question with the cookbook chapters-Does anyone make Jelly's and jams anymore???? Of course we all know Krista can "Kick it up" with that dinner party she threw together!

I wanted to "sleep in" but Dodger Dog had other ideas! Woke up with a dozzie of a sinus headache too! Must be stress related - too much to do & too little time! Couldn't let the morning go by without saying "Good Morning" and checking the computer.

Lori: I thought Virtua in Voorhees was the ONLY hospital with a full moon shining over it 365 days a year! We had about 50 post partum patients & there were still over 15 patients in L & D. We have the capacity for 40 post partum patients so 10 were on the AP floor already with only 2 beds left. At one point they need to start diverting but, of course, they don't want to lose there customers.

Wow there are some early risers!! I am so upset I have not
been able to sleep past 5:00 on my days off!!

The gift exchange was so much fun last night. Hope we do it again!

Last night was a blast. Thank you for the idea Lori and thak you Julie for all the organization!! What a fun group of friends we all are!

you are SOOOOOOO sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We absolutely LOVE the snowman (of course the kids named him Frosty!) and the snowman ornaments --- they look FAB on our tree ---- and the chocolates were of course a hit with the younger set!!!!!!!

So sorry we missed last night -- I TRIED to read the IM but my eyes couldn't take it! My eye doc just this past Thursday said I could get bifocals if I wanted -- HE MUST BE NUTS!!!!!!!!!!! I am WAY to young for those!!!!!!

Bonnie -- I was so worried about that package and am so so so sorry it didn't get there for last night. I certainly hope you like them and of course -- do tell

Trying desperately to get everything wrapped for our Christmas tomorrow morning and then for the gang in Georgia (leaving early early Mon. morning). It'll of course be my Dad and Penny and all 6 of us girls will be there with 5 spouses (the youngest at 24 is still single) and 15 1/2 grandkids. It'll be busy and we all buy for everyone when we are together like this (otherwise we draw names). Should be memorable!

Hello! Had a great time last night. We really need to do this again next year!

Bonnie: To answer your question, yes, I do make jelly and jam. I make a freezer strawberry jam and a 4 berry jam that has to be canned. Yes, I do can sometimes. Just call me a midwestern girl!
I even made my own salsa a couple of years ago. I used to have a garden, but the deer had a blast with it.

I met my friend today. She gave me a HUGE box of clothes! I am sorting through it, but stopped to say hi.

Tomorrow, I finish baking cookies!

Denine, I make my own salsa, too. Ted won't touch store bought salsa. I wish he would to save me all that canning. My kids demand it, too. I use to make jelly but no longer. My favorite was grape. Yum. Makes me want to make it again.

The party was at a local pub that my friend's husband manages. Anyway, lots of locals/regulars there. Apparently one of the local/regulars let it be known (to others not me thank heavens) that he had taken a liking to me. I thought when all my friends were laughing and teasing me that they were joking. They weren't. When I was leaving he called me over, by name, and told me he tried to buy me a drink earlier but I was only getting ice. I said thenk you and ran out of there so fast I was a blur!!
That's all!!!!

Everyone had so much fun with the gift exchange that I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a secret sister this next year?

When the gift exchange was first mentioned I told Julie I didn't feel I knew anyone enough to do an exchange but after seeing what everyone sent, which was mostly Disney things, I thought I could do that. So I will do it next year and then I thought wouldn't it be fun to have a secret sister and send cards for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. and we could even keep the same sister and buy the family gift for them.

Would anyone be interested in doing this....Julie could assign the sisters as she did such a good job with the exchange if we could talk her into it.

Just a thought....

Sally, I would be an awful secret sister. I'd forget them! (Just ask my own sister ) It sounds like fun for others who can keep up with it though. Julie's our local sweetheart in that department, already congratulating Laurie on her anniversary!
I remember the Secret Santa we did in college in the dorm. Getting a mystery gift every day for a week leading up to Christmas was fun. We tended to get pretty creative on the delivery methods.
I'd be up for a repeat ornament exchange next year! That really was fun. I was so frustrated at work, not only could I not get into aim, (got a No-No message and everything
) but the DIS page wouldn't refresh unless I posted or backed clear out and came back in. Before learning that, I kept hitting refresh and thinking that no one was in there but poor little ol' me! Whaaaa!
I ended up working another 10 hours yesterday while on call. Boy I almost have another cruise paid for. I got to sleep in this morning. Yeaaae.
Bonnie, it nice to be chased though, huh? Santa winked at me at the mall the other day LOL. I ran home to tell Ben that a famous and very generous man has the hots for me. Gosh, he didn't even seem jealous. Oh well.
OK, that's my life in a nutshell (no, not nuthouse)
