You're not going to be able to get the smile of my face today:) :D :) :D

I loved my "Retreat" at the Spa. First a body wrap with oil then a massage which was over an hour, facial, lunch, manicure, hair & makeup. I didn't even recognize myself. I looked soooo good!

Garry: I am Irish. Mother's maiden name is Driscoll. Give me any beer and I will drink it! A friend's son owns "The Flying Fish" brewery in N.J. but it isn't my favorite.

Bonnie is the real BRAT! I just hadn't looked to see what time my flight was but knew she was leaving early. I just forgot she was flying all over the East Coast.

New Jersey is supposed to have a thaw today but it was icy this morning when Dodger Dog went out. He turned one yesterday along with Joyces grandson turning two. I cooked him a big bone!

Need to go to the Post Office & finish packing. We will be thinking of you all and I'm sure reminicing when the three of us get together about the Cruise but we will be making some new memories too.

Have a great week. Keep up our end on the boards. Susan glad you are safe. You had us worried! Toodles, :earsgirl: May check in one last time for there is time. Jeanne

Good Morning everyone.

Thought I would post before I start my day. Finally got 7 rolls of film developed from the trip. Only 11 more to go.

Heading off to an all day scrapbook crop with Tiffany to start scrapbooking those pictures! Jaymee is going to a cheer competion. Bob is working.

Sue feel better. I can't believe you are still sick after all this time and still sane!

Julie you make me laugh with all the clip art:p

I am still staying drugged up most of the time till I can get my tooth pulled.:teeth: Not looking forward to that one.

Bonnie and Dudettes have a wonderful time and think about all of us!! The board just will not be the same!!

Julie GREAT pic of Garry. Thanks for the good laugh to start out my day.
Extra pixie dust to Sue!
You know Barb is more heavily drugged now, 'cause she didn't say Elmo wants to be a chicken...
NO manly talk for the weekend. Whew! We needed that break. So.... what do YOU all do when that underwire starts working it's way out of the bra? I mean, is it worth sewing back in, or would it just work it's way out again? Does it count as a good enough excuse to go shopping for more? How 'bout just go shopping? ;)
Have a fantastic time at WDW, Dudettes. We'll be thinking of you. (While shivering, having to warm our hands just to type...)

Good morning to all you crazy people. I wish I was a dudette. I would then be dreaming of WDW and warmth. I would be thinking about everything that makes me smile there...rides, people, food, shopping etc. One draw back, I would be RUNNING! We do it commando style so there is NO, and I mean, NO rest and relaxation.

Got the tree up, just waiting for our cards to be done. Made 3 batches of peanut brittle. Three to four more to go. Then it is the chex mix. Don't forget the wrapping and finally the gift I don't know what to buy. I hate buying for MEN! I don't think Ted will get one this year. Then, fudge. In between that, I have to drive to a small independent grocery store for MY holiday treat. I am Scandinavian and eat lutefisk during the Holidays. It is a cured codfish.

Gotta run. Nothing to do but sit around and watch TV. Yea, right!!

Wow! It sure is quiet to day. I found us on page 2.

The wreaths are up and lighted. Now it is beginning to look a lot like a Disney Christmas.

Lori: Do you really want me to answer the underwire question???? Can't we just burn our bras??????????

Julie: I already have several recipes of different types printed off. I'll just send them to you.

Maybe tomorrow I can wrap some presents.

We had to take Shannon back to the vet yesterday. They drew more blood. He is going to call us on Monday to let us know if he is adjusting her medication. I just can't believe my cat is on the same blood pressure medication my mom is.

12:28am Sunday 12/8/02 - WE HAVE POWER AGAIN!!!!!!!

We came back from the wedding and finally had electricity at the house. Of course, everthing in the fridge must be tossed. We also lost both of our big trees in the front yard. Yes, I am still sick but plan to rest all day tomorrow. (cough, cough, cough, cough, cough) The wedding rehearsal and wedding were all held without electricity but everything was beautiful. I'll post more about that tomorrow. I just wanted you all to know we are back home and the house is beginning to warm up. (cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough) I REALLY have had withdrawals from not being able to be on the computer!!! But, I'M BACK!!!! (cough, cough, cough, cough, cough)

 :teeth:  :teeth:  :teeth:

Hi everyone! It is I Julie posting under Garry's name since our digital cable server went out this morning so I do not have internet access. Garry signed up with msn for the two free months so that is why I am able to post. After having digital cable internet service, boy is this dial up slow! Our internet should be fixed by monday night, so if you don't see me posting until then, don't worry. If I can sneak onto Garry's computer like I am now, I will stop in and say hi!

Susan, glad to see that you are back safe and sound in your home. I hope you will start feeling better soon. It took Garry 3 weeks to get rid of his cough, so hang in there!

I like the underwire question Lori! Garry thought it was funny and said he's answer to that is "take it off. That is what he use to help with when he was dating:eek:!" lol

Sandy sounds like you are hard at work! When can we come over and enjoy in the yummy treats?

Sorry there is no clipart today, like I said before, I'm not at my computer so I can't spend my time looking for art when I have to post a message on the board. NEVER fear, I WILL BE BACK!

Have a good day everyone!

Well can you believe the bargains that DCL are offering in January! I'm sure many of you have heard about them but I just thought i'd list them here!

7 Night - Eastern Caribbean

January 11th - January 19th $599
January 25th - February 1st $599

4 Night - Bahamian (With Day at Sea)

January 19th - January 23rd $399

3 Night - Bahamian

January 9th - January 12th $349
January 16th - January 19th $379
January 30th - February 2nd $379

All these prices are based on 2 sharing a catagory 11 stateroom (standard inside on decks 5,6 or 7). I pulled these prices from Expedia Cruises but obviously they can be found elsewhere (including dreams!).

I was very impressed with the price of the 7 night western, amazing!

Denine - I would like to say a big thankyou to you and Jerry for the Christmas card, you really made my day!!!!

Good morning everyone. Hope all is well and Susan is getting better. So glad you got your power back and the wedding went smooth.

Wow, Darren. Let's book again for next month. Those are fantastic prices and I don't mind cat. 11. Are you thinking about a Christmas present from you to you? Actually, we won't book January again. Florida was COLD, everyone running around in ski hats and gloves. Bahamas was so cold that we couldn't even get in the water at Blue Lagoon. Pictures of us getting off on CC in our SWEATS! Talking to a CM she said that it really wasn't normal but not unusual and that she would not choose Jan. either. I know that we bargained for a hurricane in Oct.

Poor, Shannon. Let us know how she's doing, Denine. Give Kaleigh a hug. Thanks for the card!!

Didn't get any work done yesterday. We just played. Maybe today?!!

Susan, I'm so glad that you have power back! Now get well!
I went to a wedding without electricity once and they used tons of candles, acoustic guitar and no microphones. It was absolutely gorgeous, spiritual, dreamy... I could go on. Was this one like that? I'm so glad it went well. Don't forget to tell us all about it, when you're up to it. Right now, just get rest and lots of fluids. (That's the Mom in me talking)

Hi everyone. We're just plunkin along here. Nothing grand to report. Catch you all later.
Lori

Darren: Your welcome! I am glad to hear the card made it. I never sent anything over seas before.

Lori: Your right. Shannon's medicine is cheaper than my mom's. It is also a lot smaller dose.

The presents are wrapped, except for the 2 we still have to buy.

Wow! I wish we could cruise next month! January can be iffy. It was cool the time we cruised in January, but last year in Disney, it was in the 80's every day! We need a birth certificate for Kaleigh and we won't have one until the adoption is final.

Kaleigh's baptism is all set up for February 16th. We just need to come up with Godparents that the church agrees with.

Julie: The recipes will be in the mail tomorrow.

I hope the dudettes are thinking of us! I wish we were in Disney for Christmas. We will be this time next year!

I just posted a question on the cruise board about birth certificates and also if Dreams does group rates. Just thinking ahead to that reunion cruise.

Sue: I am glad so glad you are home with electricity. Too bad about your trees, but from what I have seen on TV, it could have been a lot worse. My aunt lives in the mountains and is always complaining about the ice storms. She lives about an hour from Ashville.

Krista: My mom has a good friend that lives in Arkansas. She is at the University of Arkansas. I am not sure if she if fully retired, but she was a Spanish professor there.

Just a quick post and then to bed for more needed rest.

School is closed for Turner again tomorrow. His school islocated in an area that has many, many 100 year old oak trees. I hear they are some of the hardest hit in that area. Not sure when he will go back.

I'll probably be out of work again tomorrow. I also have another doctor's appointment at 9:30. I think I am SLOWLY getting a little better. Still a long way from a full recovery.

I think Paul and I will be doing a lot of internet shopping this week or else nothing will get done.

The wedding was very beautiful with the soft light. They used a generator to light the Christmas tree and the rest was candlelight and the last bit of daylight seeping through the windows. We had candlelight and lanterns from the scouts for the reception. The DJ was cancelled but the bride and groom danced to a boombox!!! I had to walk Turner to the bathroom and we took one of the floating candles/bowls from the tables to light the way. They will definitely have great memories. Turner escorted the flower girl (another niece) and they were wonderful.

Enough for now. To bed I go!!!

good morning

Where is everyone this morning? I went to a Christmas party last night and they want to make a tour of all the homes in our unit to see the decorations. Guess I better get mine finished or I could just take them to Barb's and pretend it is my house.

Still no snow but a little is forecast for this week.

Hope everyone is getting well....this is no time to be sick

Have a great day and keep posting or Bonnie is going to give us a hard time when she gets back

We're going to Disney World!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jerry booked us into the Wilderness Lodge (for the 1st time) for January 13th through the 18th!
I am so excited.

Sue: We will be in your neck of the woods on the 12th. We are only going to drive as far as Charlotte the first day since we don't know how far we can drive with Kaleigh.

I need another new countdown timer.

I've been doing a litle research into our October 2004 reunion cruise. I am looking at October 16th. I don't know which route that is since they are not booking that far out yet.
Group Rates: From someone that has done this several times, this is what I have found out. 8 double cabins is a "group". You may get an additional 50-100 dollars off the current rate. The perk is that for every 8 cabins booked, you get 1 free "cruise only" fare. I also know that with dreams, if there are at least 8 total cabins booked with them, you get a free gift in your room. I think it was food like petis fours. I haven't received any info from Dreams, but this is what I have so far.

So, who's going???????????????
