Jack, I hope you are able to save up. So sorry to hear about your job losses. Hopefully something else comes along to make up for losing those jobs. There's no better place to spend a birthday than a Disney park!!!

We've been to WDW in August and that was fifteen years ago...we'll never do Florida in August again....we'll see how DL in August works for us.

Thanks for the well wishes. I still have two other jobs to fall back on, just does not not bring the extra $$$ to take Disney trips. They are not inexpensive.

Cool! Another B-day celebration at DL!

We're going again this year, in August this time so the kids don't miss any school. Its a budget trip for us, I bought AP's in October (Costco special so I got a good deal) so we can use those again. Plane tickets were made using miles, so no cost there either. So, all we need for this trip is a hotel room and food. I have a room reserved at HOJO, although there isn't an entertainment rate for the time. I'll keep checking and see if we can save even more if a rate is released.

I hope the entertainment rate kicks in for you! There's nothing better than a BUDGET trip to Disney!


I'd leave my husband at the computer convention and do Disney by myself!

My family, 2 of my friends and I have reservations for HOJOs from July 29th- August 6th. I'll be extremely pregnant though so it wont be a regular vacation trip for me, more of a little getaway before labor day (or after).

If we can make it financially(won't do a trip unless it is all cash) we will be there from the 15th -22nd. My birthday is on the 20th. Lost two of my jobs this last month so it may be a stretch.

After numerous sleepless night, I was finally able to snag a free room during the lastminutetravel.com fiasco. So we'll be at Disneyland/Southern CA from Aug 23-20. We're getting the citypass and hopefully upgrading to APs while we're there.

Congratulations on the pregnancy! That's the way to do it, though....get the baby hooked on Disney before he or she is even born!
