What about hospitality? What are the hours like, what do you do. What is the difference in the four possible areas (phone room, dispatch, front desk, I forget the other one). Do Cpers usually get one or the other of those areas?

Does anyone know anything about quick service food and beverage? Like how many hours a week do you work and where can you work? You work at other places then just the little carts right? Like coffee shops and stuff, are those full time or quick service? Also, whoever has had it, did u like it?

I'll second the question about vacation planning. It sounds like something I'd be majorly interested in. What all does the role entail? Are there any requirements that you need to meet before being assigned the role?

I did QSFB last summer. I worked at Casey's at the MK. For QSFB, you could either be in QSR (quick-service restaurants) or ODF (outdoor foods). QSR is restaurants like Casey's, Cosmic Rays, Pizza Planet, ect. ODF is the carts, stands, snack windows, ect. My hours weren't too bad. On average, I worked around 7-8 hours a shift. However, I usually had later shifts (though I did get a few opening/mid shifts). I was trained to work both in the front (in the restaurant) and in the back (in the kitchen). I also had cash training.

Oh really? Can you request if you wanted to do either restaurants or the carts because I personally think restuarants would be better Was it pretty easy to pick up - and after the college program can you eventually get a full time job with disney?

You can put in a request with your recruiter (no guarantees, but it doesn't hurt to ask).

It wasn't too bad to learn everything. I was able to get everything down during training.

I got merch for Fall advantage. I am totally excited. I love to sale stuff, my first choice was Vacation Planner but I didn't have enough Disney experience.

Ive been there 3 times... I think I got it because I told the recruiter I wanted to do something that was closest to my major (marketing)

hmm...then im not sure why i got it, cause im majoring in law enforcement.

just curious but anyone know about the culinary rolls? the baking and pastry in particular. i already know you have to be majoring in that field to even apply. but if anyone knows anything about what they actually do, please let me know.

thanks for the insight about your location. it sounds pretty cool. yes my head would explode from all that info but i really wouldn't mind learing all that info & script. question though: did you mean it took 3-7 days to learn everything or that's just how long you were placed at a certain location?.

Sorry its taking so long to get back to you! I lost the thread But that was training per script, depending on the venue. You would be rotated around the venues all day. LOL I once had a family accuse me of following them around (jokingly, of course)! The only exception to that is if you are trained at the Mission: SPACE Race venue, as that's at Mission Space. You wear the Mission Space costume, so you really can't rotate to, say, the House of Innoventions. Its a completely different costume, so you stay at Space all day.

wow! i thought ive been there a lot! Im not sure if i got it based on how many times ive been there or not. It certainly wasnt because im majoring in something that relates to it....im going to school to be a police officer. heres the description i got of the role: Selling ticket media to Guests
Achieving monthly sales goals and maintaining minimum sales requirements
Working with a computerized ticket system, offering Guests tickets from a menu of over 128 different ticket configurations
Having a strong knowledge of the Walt Disney World® Resort and its ticket media
Handling large amounts of cash
Understanding the Guests’ needs while helping them select the right-fit tickets for their vacations
Being able to work under pressure and overcoming Guest objections
Assisting with audience control, including during parades
Standing for extended periods, working outdoors
Working at multiple locations – potentially all four Theme Parks in any given week
