"ROL" Dining Packages to Begin 5/1? Pricing info/"FTB" too ?

I am wondering how you are going to book FT, is it going to be like Be Our Guest?

Will there be enough seating, if everyone plans to do FT for a ticket to ROL?

Will it still be a Counter Service Credit?

I am confused as usual. So if you get the package from the buffet them you can use your DDP but if you choose Flame Tree then you are not allowed to use it as a QS? Did I read that right?

That's how I read it as well. $50 for 1 TS is a great deal IMO, and it is a character meal.

We are just not adventurous eaters so we'll be heading to FT instead.

Guests must dine no later than 2 hours and thirty minutes prior to showtime.

Rivers of Light Dining Package Prices (Dine Plan Eligible)
Breakfast, starting at:
$37.00 adults
$23.00 children ages 3 to 9

If this is a night show, this^ doesn't make much sense...

I've seen some rumors that booking might begin next week ----- A Donald Duck error has been appearing when ppl are trying to book Adrs ( which given the Disney website probably doesn't mean much!) , and some are speculating that these new options are being loaded.

If this starts booking next week, theoretically, won't they also need to make the announcement of nights and times? I'd love to book this for my arrival day in June, but as of now we have no idea if ROL will actually even be showing that night?

In reference to breakfast ADRs - I would assume this is similar to F! Or Christmas Processional Lunch ADR packages...not sure why it wouldn't make sense? The goal being to keep people in the park - almost makes more sense to me!

Also bolded, it says that guests must dine no later than 2 hours and 30 minutes prior to show time?

That just means that your dining reservation must be AT LEAST 2 hours and 30 minutes before the show you plan to see. I would assume to make sure you have enough time to eat, get to your seating, etc. So, since it's a nighttime show, any breakfast or lunch would be fine and any dinner time slot that is at least 2 hours and 30 minutes before the show. So, say, if the show is at 9:00, 6:30 would be the latest dinner reservation you could book to get it.

OH. Okay! I took it to mean the latest you could dine was 2:30 prior to the show you attend. Hahaha. Thank you for clarifying! That makes so much more sense. :thumbsup2

According to CM I spoke with this morning ( and I know they are not always reliable --- being an ex-CM, I can confirm that they are usually last to know new info) the dining packages were being loaded into the Disney ressie site this morning . Guess we'll see....

I just wish the TiW discounts could be valid on these. I know it's likely to be excluded, just like the Fantasmic and CLP packages, but that nominal mark-up for the show ticket gets a lot more expensive when you forfeit a 20% discount!

That is exactly what it does mean. The LATEST you can dine is 2 hours and 30 minutes before the show you attend. However, there is no limit on how much EARLIER than the show you can dine....thus the breakfast and lunch availability. Hope that makes sense!

Yes! Appreciate you! Now, to change our breakfast ADR to the dining package... *waits impatiently* :)

We already have a TH breakfast ressie for our upcoming May trip. We usually eat at FT at some point during the day anyway, so this would be perfect. Not sure if I should try to upgrade the existing TH reservation or try for a
FT package when it opens. ??? It seems like FT is a great deal and I can see a lot of people opting for it.

I soooo would love to see the FTB option being offered with a CS credit on the DP, as I don't want to give up Boma for dinner that night. It is one of my favorites!

Me too. I'm not crazy about the options at TH or spending 8 more of our TS credits for it. OTOH, I also don't want to shell out $136 (which I'm guessing doesn't even include tax) for FTB. But if we do QSDP or DDP on one of our rooms, we will have some CS credits to spare, so that would be perfect.

From what I was told, if you have an existing ADR ( for example--- TH--) , you won't be able upgrade to the package when they become available --- you will have to cancel the existing ADR, and then make a package ADR, if you desire

Thanks!

So....if I wanted to try for a TH package, would it be better to give up the reservation now and book when the option goes live on MDE? Or hold onto it and call a CM and have them take care of canceling and adding on the phone? Isn't there a time difference in when ADRs open online and by phone? Just thinking of options here. I guess I'm expecting people to go for the cheaper FT deal first.

Any info on the amount of shows per night yet? I saw on another thread that it was originally showing first, second and third showing tickets as options on MDE a few days ago.

We are on the dining plan and don't want to pay cash for any meals. Tusk House food does not appeal to us.

Hope FT package is covered under the dining plan. Wondering if you have to reserve for FT?

Going in August and AK hours are still show 8-5.

Thanks!

Personally, I would hold onto it--- and then call and do the cancellation and rebook when the packages become available --- I believe there will be (3) shows per night
