Hi all:

Is Roger FP still disconnected?

What is up with Princess Fantasy Faire? I have boys and we haven;t gone - but I am helping a friend plan who has a girl.

Does it have certain hours? Is it good at any time or an "early" attraction? What do you do there?

Thanks!!
Kim :)

The last report was that RR was still disconnected, but they had played around w/ connecting it w/n the last month. PFF allows you to meet 3 princesses after standing in 1 (usually long) line. It often opens 1 hour after the park and closes around 5:30 (see the time guide for exact hours on the day of your visit). If you are the first family there in the morning, a princess will take you by the hand and walk you in. If you're in line at closing, you will still get to meet princesses, but expect your visit to be really rushed.

We often go mid-afternoon (when lines are long everywhere anyway), but we also try the 'walking down the paths at the side of the castle' trick and have had good luck running to them (along w/ fairy godmother and the evil queen) there.

It's not unusual for PFF to open at park opening. If that's the case, you might want to get there pretty soon after the park opens. But I did that in the off-season in November and there were only 2 princesses. I'm pretty sure PFF is almost always 3 but occasionally 2.

(Pixie Hollow was the same way; I visited very soon after the park opened on a day it opened with the park, and only met Tinkerbell; no other fairies.)

On weekends and busy seasons they do a "coronation ceremony" show where the kids can interact with the princesses, alternated with storytelling. I understand that if you wait a few minutes after the coronation ceremony, the princesses will come back out for a quick meet-and-greet. I didn't check this in November 2011 though.

DD4 loves the Princess Fantasy Faire. We tried last week to go right when they opened to avoid a long line, got there about 10-15 min early and there was already a line to get in the line. They were supposed to open at 10:30 and at 10:35 they announced that it wouldn't be opening until 10:45. We waited maybe 20 minutes after it opened for our turn and there were only 2 princess, so it was kind of disappointing.

The next day we were riding the train around 5pm and saw that there were only a few people in line so we hopped off at the ToonTown station and waited less than 5 minutes. I think I'll try that strategy next time, go towards closing versus opening.

If your friend's daughter loves princess, it is definitely worth going to see. Just tell her that the line is often long, and even when it doesn't look that long, it moves SLOWLY. Sometimes they pass out crowns and stickers to decorate them and that helps pass the time, but we've only seen those 1 out of the 4 times we've gone.

How to find a Princess in the Park.

During the day they sneak out to several spots on the side of the Castle. Often they are not noticed for several minutes, and are all alone with NO LINE!!!!

Secrets:
Between opening and early afternoon various ones will be out for about 20 minutes. Usually they come out in shifts about once an hour.
The timeing is different every day, depending on many factors.

If you do not see one, check back in 1/2 hour.

If the Fairy Godmother is leaving.... That is the que for the others that is their turn.

1 Usually you will find the "Big Three" Aurora, Cinderella, and Snow White.

2 Often Either Ariel or Belle will also be out.

3 Snow White is usually at the Wishing Well on the right path.

4 Snow White is often with the Evil Queen

5 Cinderella is often with the Fairy God Mother

6 The spot halfway up the left path is the best spot

7 They enter and leave from the backstage area at the right of Tomrrowland, in front of the Rocketships,
and use the path between the hub and Pixie Hollow to avoid being spotted. See Map:

They enter on the path from Tomorrowland, if a little girl runs up to them they will take them by the hand and take them to their meeting spot. They usually then spend extra time with the child. When they leave they will ask the last little girl to hold their hand and escort them back to the exit in Tomorrowland.

Currently they have had Belle (Beauty) and the Beast out together. This is rare, but it is because Beauty & the Beast 3D is out in Theaters.

PS: All these recent photos are halfway up the left path.......

Sorry for the long post, but if you are patient and know where and when to look it is easy to meet a Princess without waiting in a long line.
