Just stalk it hourly. There are always prebooked reservations that folks couldn’t rent out that open up. So there’s always a chance!!!
They do but in this case, points wouldn’t be there for about a week before and most often DVC has pulled it all. But that is what I do.

Update! We have a few "mosaic" contracts, as I call them. So excited to add my family's all-time favorite, VGF, to the lineup!

sparkle022---$149-$15750-100-VGF-Sep-0/22, 0/23, 100/24, 100/25- sent 9/22, passed 10/12

Why do you call your contracts mosaic contracts?

Disney is IMPOSSIBLE to figure out. For the first time they broke form and have been ROFR a few GF originals even tho they have Active points to sell. But yet we have not heard of them taking any VGC in a long time, when I'm sure many guides have a waiting list of folks to call to recycle them back as direct. My own logic says they are doing so because they want to put out 1 more awesome GF incentive in the next promotional period or 2 and feel like they will need more points to satisfy that demand before they get busy with Poly2 and Cabins on the WDW side.

Maybe they oversold VGF during the fire sale and need to make sure they maintain their 2% threshold…

Seems super unlikely they’d be ROFRing at $145 for the opportunity to sell direct at $160s — remember that Disney has costs of sale (including a credit card merchant fee around 3%) plus its overhead, etc., and whatever costs are associated with exercising the ROFR.

I bought direct this summer and plan to resell my VGF resale points next year so I’m certainly not complaining that DVC has decided to shore up VGF…but I am kind of surprised they aren’t buying up PVB instead to narrow the gap between resale and what they will price direct for Poly tower (even if it’s a new association, still better for Disney if there’s not a half price alternative just across the GCH).

I think the VGF ‘awesome deal’ ship has sailed. VGF2 was 89.1% sold as of 9/30/23 https://dvcnews.com/dvc-program-men...s-continue-on-a-robust-pace-in-september-2023. They sold 180,000+ points in Sept., they only have 190,000+ left to sell, assuming not all deals from the last incentive have even shown up on the OC site yet due to folks spreading their payments out up to 90 days, DVC likely doesn’t have enough VGF points left to sell for another promotion there.

I just signed a contract to purchase a small Boulder Ridge Contract. We stayed there last May and loved it! Hoping to book for December and May stays. I'll post the thread when I get notice of it being sent to ROFR.
We stayed at Boulder Ridge for the 1st time in May as well and also loved it. Have been tempted to add points there since then, but so far have stayed strong.

Enjoy the points!
