Have you ever tried the room service at VGF? It’s a treat!
I have not-- we ironically haven't stayed there since we became VGF owners in the fire sale, and I'm WAY too cheap to pay for villas at VGF, we do like the studios there, when we can't squeeze in at Crescent Lake, but I actually prefer to be closer to the main resort, the boat dock, etc.
You can get alcohol delivered, but there was a policy change a few years ago and you must be present in the lobby for delivery and present photo ID.
Ah-ha. We like to have stuff delivered in advance or while we are at the parks, so that would definitely complicate things... I probably would rather just pay the mark-up from the marketplace and suffer through the limited selection, I just almost never remember to do it before 11pm!
I would have to be near death to pay that amount of money on a single water, especially Dasani :crazy2:
Haha, paying ANY price for Dasani feels wrong to me and $6 for a small bottle is so offensive...but the smell of the tap water in the villas is often even more offensive sometimes! My husband (who is not a prima donna despite what I'm about to say next) won't even brush his teeth with it.

I need to figure out how go to the parks less and to eat in the room. lol
It’s actually not that difficult :-)

Since Disney did away with the DME we always have a car and because we do we rarely eat any meals in the parks.

We get takeout, dine at other local restaurants in Orlando and go to Walmart. Our breakfast we always have in our room.

More often that not our lunch is a sandwich we made in our room and took to the parks.

When a new restaurant opens at WDW we might try it out, like the new Beak and barrel it sounds fun and we like pirates too.

That’s the same feeling I have. WHY pay $5 for a bottle of water when i can get 40’bottles of water at Walmart for the same or cheaper price.

Yeah yeah I know Walmarts water is not magic like Disneys. Disneys will magically make your money disappear:-)

Is it really? I can't bring myself to use those services because I feel like you pay 2-3x the cost of picking it up. I would believe it's cheaper than table service but I can't believe it's cheaper than counter service or festival booths.

Haha, I was that kid-- I think it's more reasonable at EPCOT or AK than Magic Kingdom and (most of) DHS. One potential compromise is to bring sandwiches for the adults and do quick service for the kids-- the kids meal quick service is a really good deal, I will often get a kids item for myself if I'm not starving.

I was going to say I cannot see us ever eating in the villa... but a savannah view villa at AKV sounds quite nice, actually.

We typically get milk, bagels, cream cheese, sparking water, yogurt and drinking water (paying $6 for a tiny bottle of dasani late night in the BCV vending machines is like my #1 WDW pet peeve!), and possibly k-cups or coffee, never occured to me to get fruit, cheese and wine-- I have no idea why not? I'm not a huge drinker but I do sometimes like to have a glass of wine in the bathtub after a long chaotic day at theme parks and I'm always annoyed that everything is closed after 11pm when we get back. We typically do delivery from target, does anybody know if they will send wine to the DVC resorts?
If you link a chase credit card to door dash you get “Dash Pass” for free. No delivery charge, and it randomly offers you discounts at restaurants. Starlight cafe in MK is $18.78 for standard burger, fries, and a coke. Now it may be because I live here, but usually my “discount offers” are for restaurants in the delivery range of WDW. I place the order as soon as we are on our way back to the villa.
