I haven't seen the buyer post here so I will post this one as a seller. This was my UY mistake that I turned around and resold . It will be interesting to see if it gets through since PVB opens for sale so soon. I'm waiting to see how long this one will take!

Yes - it had 100 banked from 2023 and 100pts from 2024 - I was able to transfer them to my other PVB contract (different UY) prior to putting it up for sale. So effectively I transferred 200pts into holding for use this year.

I'm very grateful it worked out! MAR was not ideal for us but I got caught up in all the PVB hysteria earlier this year. I just wanted to sell it back before direct points went on sale.

I didn’t think you could transfer banked or borrowed points…..

Yes that is the rule generally, but I heard they sometimes allow banked points to be transferred between your own memberships. Have never tried it myself, but would be useful.

Yes that is correct. Since it was between two of my own contracts (both PVB) they allowed it. The CS rep did put me on hold briefly to double-check but said it would not be a problem. It also did not/does not count against me as my points transfer for the year. The points went into a temporary/holding contract so I cannot use them to book online by myself but I will be able to call CS to book. I have since completed a transfer with another DVC member and it went through without a hitch.

I do think they could also see that the contract had been very newly added - it was my first time speaking with someone from CS on the phone. Maybe that helped too? I don't know.

I would have preferred an Oct UY, but I think we can make this work. I know that ROFR has generally been avoiding VGC, but we'll see what happens in the new fiscal year.

Thanks. Looking forward to staying at VGC. All our current contracts are for WDW area resorts. It will be nice to visit DLR more frequently. Just have to figure out when I can retire; maybe months, or maybe a couple of years, but it is getting close.

Inventory is also very low. In February of this year there were about 2500 listings. I imagine that when the dues statement come out, people will be in a uproar of how expensive Disney is and they will start selling their contracts.
