From what i understand disney has 30 days to exercise RofR. Is that 30 days or 30 business days. Ours was submitted june 6th. Still haven't heard anything?
30 calendar days, although if 30th day falls on a weekend or holiday, they can likely go to the next business day. When you say submitted, do you mean Disney actually got notice of the sale on June 6th (the 30 days starts then not when you put in bid or agreed to sale which could be earlier). If so, you should be calling sales rep to find out why there has been no response yet because Disney usually comes back in less than 30 days.
I think it is more likely they are behind, particularly after the holiday, to get through reviewing these. It seems like the reviewal time has increased to 3-4 weeks lately.
Hi zumbergc,
The 30 days is calendar days. Disney has been taking their full 30 days over the last month or so to provide us with their decision. If it was submitted on the 6th then the answer should be provided by today.
If you have not yet been in touch with your sales associate I would so they can contact Disney and see where you are at in the process.
Good luck on passing ROFR and getting a decision soon!
Mine was submitted to Disney on June 10th and I've been (impatiently) waiting to hear back if it made it.
What happens if Disney does not respond in 30 days - does that mean it automatically goes through? (wishful thinking)
Hang in there - you're not alone in your wait!
Edited to add: Apparently all I had to do was vent about it and it magically appeared! Just got an email letting know that Disney waived and the contract is mine. How funny that it happened just minutes after I posted my complaint. Good luck with yours!!
Glad to hear disney passed at 75.00 zumbergc. I'm waiting on a 150 point contract october use year 75 a point seller pays all closing. Hoping mine goes through too.

As I understand it DVC actually has up until the unit has closed to exercise ROFR but the closing must be a min of 30 days from the date of submission. I think generally this has been interpreted as a straight 30 days by DVC and others but technically that's not how I read it.
