Our contract went to Disney on 1/23 but we still haven't heard anything! What does this mean?

Another DISboard member who is working with the same broker and whose contract went one day after ours just heard that his passed. Why would we not have heard as well?

Do I need to be concerned that it didn't pass or that it didn't really go to Disney on the date they said it did?

Hopefully the broker is sending emails right now and mine is coming! If not it's okay, I just want to know so I can start looking for something else.

I did contact the broker and the contract person last week at our real estate company and they had not gotten ours as of Friday :(

From what I've read on the DIS and other boards, this last round of ROFR have gone to and over 30 days. I would think it is a good thing that you haven't heard anything yet. You will hear something in the next couple days. :thumbsup2

The only requirement is that it be submitted for ROFR at least 30 days prior to the scheduled closing date. If the scheduled closing date is more than 30 days out from the date submitted for ROFR, they don't have to make a decision by 30 days.

Someone had posted from the DVC/DVD documents that the closing has to be a minimum of 30 days out and they simply have to decide by closing.

In the 3 resale contracts we've purchased - our closing has always been 45 plus days out and our most recent (just passed ROFR yesterday), it took them 31 days to decide.

Given the increase in wait times for member services, you just wonder if they're attempting to operate with a lighter staff all around. I have no idea how contacting Member Administration has been for people.

Disney's goal is to make you wait as long as possible because you bought resale and you aren't making them any money. Usually contracts that they take back don't wait the 30 days because there isn't any benefit to Disney.

We're at 31 days, was told they are running 3-5 days behind.
Yea, show up a few hours late for your Fastpass+ and see how they are.
They hold the cards.
