I think fans from both sides can say that neither team played their best game Sunday. Neither team was 100% there. The game is over, its done with. There were bad calls made during the game. There were bad calls made all season. There will be calls made in EVERY game that has somebody upset. And sometimes, it costs a team the game. I just think that we need to forget this the bad calls and enjoy the win or think about how your team can win next year. The one thing that I have a problem with is the way Seattle's coach handled it. That was very unsportsmanlike. Yes, he did not like the calls. But one thing that I think alot of people are forgetting is that there is always next season.
And one more thing, someone said that we, Steelers fans, aren't being gracious. I don't think thats the case at all. We are celebrating our teams win. Thats it. If we wanted to be sore winners, we would rub it in your face saying "HAHA, your team lost!!!! Our team won!!! Woohoo" And possibly do a little dance in there. Watching the news coverage in Pittsburgh, there has been nothing said at all about Seattle. It has all been "We're proud of the Steelers" and "We support our team." Don't tell me that is very unsportsmanlike. Any team would be doing the same thing. Pittsburgh fans are just insane about it. What other team has a turn out of 30,000 at a pep rally a week before the game and 250,000 at the parade afterwards?
I am not a die-hard Steelers fan by any means. The Super bowl was the first footbal game I ever watched, which is pretty said being that I am in my school's marching band and had to go to EVERY SINGLE one of our HS football games. My friends were shocked when I told them I watched the Super Bowl. They nearly fainted when I told them that I actually enjoyed it! You will not catch me saying "good game" to any Seattle fans, though. Why? Because it wasn't a good game. As I said before, neither team did their best and neither team was there 100%.
